and back again..
Gots me a 'lady friend' who has been thinking about coming along with us to Paeroa. I'd offer her my back seat, but mine is already covered with another friend, if they both go.
She hasn't been on the back of a bike before (I don't think) so she could be a little nervous. I mention this, so that the generous people like Death don't offer, so that they can spend the whole trip scaring the crap out of her on the back wheel. She also lacks a helmet and jacket (well, anything, but I'm guessing this should do her ok for being sensible). She's a tall 'thin' build (I'll find out her size) and doesn't weigh too much (don't think) so not much extra on the back wheel or gas..
So, who's up for pickin up a lady and escorting her to the dance?

Well chances are alright that i'll have the TL fixed to ride down (fingers crossed) and i'm safe as house me is, okay maybe not, along the same lines as death, but with a passenger i am quite sane. But chances are i wont get the TL running so dont count on me.
But i do have a full spare kit if ya need it. :niceone:

quasi - lol.. I know!! I could add heaps to make it more appealing, but I think I might get a swift :kick: so might not.. ay..
LB - thanx. Good luck fixing up the TL, for you if anything. And thanx on the offer of gear too. I'm going to send her the link to this forum in a little bit, so she can see; a) what I've put (so I have to be nice) and b) what offers she thinks would suit. And working hands would be a benefit I'd imagine :niceone:

Yea cast comes off in a few days or so, so yea working hands for me :wari: only they wont be able to cope with fast riding straight away, too much pressure on areas under braking means hurting, maybe i should just harden up.
Hey Quasi be a good time to go for a ride "together" :ar15:

Not sure if youre being a cheek sod or not !!! but yeah Im keen for a ride mate
anyway about the poor las with no saddle (back on the Job in hand people)
I Unfortunetly will not be able to offer my trusty stead for her, as tempting as it is to help out a girl as awesome as her ( Ive met her and boy you guys should hurry up with your offers) I fear I would get in trouble with the family,
as I promised to take everyone up in "the mighty White"
So Sorry bugjuice.

After my off last year I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to pull a clutch in but was ok fortunetally, what did you injure?

Got a couple of extra helmets down here a halfer, a 3/4, and another full. Dont have an extra coat though. But since it looks like I'll be leaving straight from here dont think i will be able to take her.

5th metacarpel on left hand, (broke in 2 places), and dislocted and broke my thumb on my right hand, which is still in cast. But it all feels good for now, i try strengthening the left by pulling in the clutch on the TL, gets better by the day.

Glad you've met her then, you'll be able to tell these guys how awesome she is :niceone:
We need to get a decent ride in too (if that's ok..).. have to arrange another SH22 ride when I get my sheeeeet sorted..

Here is an idea, how about coming down this Sunday with MidLfcrises and come and see our new bike, bring the girl down and pick up a bit of protective gear for her (we got some you can use leather cordura ) to use on the paeroa trip and give her a bit of pcatice in the saddle, we will then all go for a ride to get some lunch at Raglan ??? what say you man of impeccable bike tastes:niceone:

lmao... damn straight on the taste..
Yeah, I'd be up for coming down.. And by 'the girl' you're reffering to the girl in question, or the girl being the bike (I wouldn't ask, but I have no idea what cordura is, so I don't know if it's for the bike or for her), plus with a pill in tow, it kinda slows the progress down.. and we haven't got her any gear yet anyway, so might not be able anyhoo... We'll see on that front, if I have anyone on the back or not.
Be a different story if I start with someone on the back and get there without anyone on the back :shit:

is it not mlcrisis (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/member.php?u=1535) cos I can't find MLFcrises.. unless I'm going dumb again  It's either you or me buddy! It's all the power of the 636s I reckon - takes so much skill and effort to pilot such machinery, that it renders other brain cells dumb.
Anyhoo, I'll look around for a seat cover, I'm sure I can find one or two, if not, I don't mind backing off the gas for once in a while.. Would be nice tho :niceone:

Hiya, I may know of a couple of pillon seats for Paeroa. I'll check it out with them tonight as to seat availability and let you know. Both good, safe riders with heap of experience.
Re gear, I have some spare riding gear that am happy to lend including a helmet (size large, was my partners old nolan), leather pants, draggin jeans and largish kevlar jacket. Let me know if you're interested. I'm probably going on the charity ride this sat so could maybe meet and drop it off to you then. :sunny:
