Diablo's wear like sport/touring tyres. Shame they're so dear.

Yes I got 6K Kms out of my rear tyre as well and 8.5K kms out of the front. I would be interested to know how many km's the pilot powers would give on the same bike.

i got 3500 outta a rear diablo & would NEVER put one on my gsxr again.
it's a good tyre i guess, but i had major traction issues that put me in some uncomfortable predicaments. i wouldn't say it was a bad tyre as it does everything really well but when push comes to slide in cold damp conditions it was awful. could be my crappy riding tho.

over 5000kms on my powers and they still going strong, lasted alot longer than the bridgestones 014's i had on before they had to be replaced(rear) gone square from communting. Powers have lasted much better at communting, and feel alot more planted, and stable but i am also bias michelins are my fav tyre Just have to wait and see how they hold up at taupo tomorrow

I've done over 7000ks on the Battlaxe that's on the back of mine. It's got a couple more left in it, but it's all road use, no track days yet..
That'll be fun, finding the best replacement tyre.. leave that for another day/thread tho

Thing is, you can replace two sets of M1s for the price of one sat of Pirrellis.

Incedently, I got 1200km safely 1600km and they're SHAGGED outta Raceteks.

I run powers on the R1, im on my 3rd set, i get over 6,000ks out of a set, and man do they stick to the road, i have tried dragons but only got 1500 k's out of the rear(dam thing flew to bits) the only time the powers have ever let go is at the track after about 8 laps they start to over heat.......but then they are road tyres.

5000+ 8000+ kms outta rears, if only i could get that sorta mileage, life would be alot cheaper thats for sure, i normaly run pilot sports on the rear and i'm stoked if i get more than 2000km outta them (2300km best) have got a power on the front now and waiting to chew the rest of the rear out beofre replacing that with a power (only to get even less k's  ), worst i've had was a Avon AV40 which lasted a week and half with 700km, man that was an expensive week, TL's are rather hard on rears though. Wonder what mileage other TL riders get on here?

Have you done a shock upgrade?
I've heard it's well worth it in extra tyre life.

Nope not yet, anytime i had any sort of money i'd biff it down the road :brick: but in saying that i'd rather just buy a newish bike that did everything better straight outta the box, how much money would you have to spend on a TLS to get it anywhere near the performance of a 01-02 600cc. Is it worth it?

i got 6500ks rear 9000 front on the gixxer six from my diablos. 2 track days at puke and countless ones at taupo. bloody good tyre especially in the wet.
