Fitting some dirtbike syle bars to a roadbike and all good bar:blank:the fact that am going to have to remove a little of the fairing,whats the best thing to use ie want it done nicely.

A router with a fence (slow speed) to cut with, and a belt or block sander to tidy up with with.

so you wanna cut thru the screen or fairing? or both? you can first put masking tape over the areas to cut and carfully use a jig saw or remove and use a band saw
the sand off and buff clear screen

Plastic... always a dremel and a sanding drum.

mate should check search ....as another kb was awaiting to cut he's screen too...but still waiting to read if he indeed cut it or got someone else to do it..

What tools do you have? I used a laminate trimmer on part of my fairing - it does a beautiful job, but due to spinning at 257,000,000 rpm, the gyroscopic effect makes moving it tricky.
[There's a story somewhere of what happened to me when I had a brilliant idea of using it in an inappropriate way, but that's another story....]
