Greetings,

Just got word from my colleagues here at WCC of new motorcycle parks up and running in Wellington

As follows: -
Wakefield Street - outside #247
Cable Street - by the BP
Cable Street - East of Car Dealership, opposite Te Papa
Tennyson Street - outside Harvey Norman
Jessie Street

M'Cycle Parks to be constructed in the New Year as CBD works ban begins 1 December:

Dixon Street - outside Phoenix merchandise shop - Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm Only.
Willis Street - extending existing motorcycle park.

Bloody good show.Must be because of the huge increase in 2 wheeled traffic.

Great. All we need now is for all of the scooter riders to go use that end of town and leave the CBD parks for bikes :blip:

Tennyson Street runs between Cambridge Terrace and Tory Street, one street south of Courtenay Place.

It's very handy for me so I'm stoked. Wellington council doing something good for us for once. Awesome.

There's a post on the WCC website showing all the new parks. I can't recall it (and on dialup now so can't be bothered searching for it). From memory, bike parking will increase by 20%. There's something like 350 metres of bike parking in the city and it's growing to 430 metres. Can't remember when these will be completed.

The council site does list all the new parking spaces though
