GPX1000RX wire to clutch resevoir...
Q: What's it for?
It's broken off; bike runs fine.
Haynes manual apprently says it can be fixed, or not, whatever, but doesn't say what it does.
(Enquiry for a mate who just bought this bike, trying to get him to join up here...)

Possibly part of the sidestand interlock, as soon as you let the clutch out while the stand is down and the bike is in gear, it'll kill the ignition.

What bungbung said....so, does the bike just run fine on the stand of has it been ridden since the wire broke?
Other than that it might be a low level warning? Haven't seen many of those on bikes but you never know...

Thanks guys. Bling has been blung.
Bike seems to run fine, but I'll ask my mate to try putting his stand down while he's in gear (and clutch in...).

When you pull the clutch lever , can you hear a microswitch clicking at all ? If so its a clutch lockout switch.

Of course, can you start the bike in neutral with the clutch out?
