POSSIBLE ORGANISED EVENT TO REPLACE THE JB MEMORIAL VOID
Guys n gals, I've been talking with the Honda Riders Club as they had also arranged an outing to the JB memorial races, and as such are now looking to arrange something else if the numbers work. Could those of you that may be interested in a possible track day at Ruapuna or a ride out of some sort please PM me. No commitments from either side as this is early days and we just need to gauge the potential interest.
Inferior bikes (non Honda's) welcome
Thanks y'all

oooooooooo you're soooo gonna regret saying that guys. If plans go according to, eeerrm, plans, then we hope to be getting a couple of Honda's pro circuit riders out . That'll show you part time street racers what real racing is all about.
:shake: <<<< you know that this soooo gives you the horn. Ya Poofda's.

There's 4 of us, including one Englishman, hitting the South Island that would be interested in a replacement trackday-type event.

Have E-mail Robyn the Following:
Fri 18/03/05: Is a HRCNZ Met and greet night at the Russley Hotel still going to happen? I would purfur the Sat if that is OK (it will give me more time to ride back up from Milford Sounds) and suggest that we open that up to KB members as well.
What do you recon? I would be very keen to have a get together of the KB'er while a few of us are down there:2thumbsup The Sat 20/03/05 or the Sun 21/03/05 would be the best for me (possibily after what ever ride/track bash we do the replace the race):niceone:

Bugger it. I'm out of holidays for the year so can't do the track day- thats a good price too since the last training day I did was $150. Will try and do the Akaroa or twin passes ride, preferably twin passes (drool).

We need to find out if there is just a normal open track day on the friday cause you can just pay $50 and go out as much as you want for either the afternoon or morning ($80 for the whole day i think). Depends how many people are there but sometimes you can have the track to yourself.
I'm pretty keen for the rider training day, just sent an email to honda riders. Might be able to do the akaroa ride, depends if i have a road bike then or not.

At the moment with the JB canned the Friday is a normal multi hire day, this can change if someone decides to private hire the track
20 min sessions starting on the hour with bikes, saloon cars, single seaters and then repeat so if you're out there at 1.30 you'll only get three 20 min session as you have to be off the track at 4.30 gates close at 5.00pm
If there's no cars out there you get as much time as you want

just need to make sure no cars get in there and we are sweet.

that's a definite maybe as the rear hub got a bit twisted in 1/2 at the last meeting,so thats in the process of repair and then I would have to check with the owner as I would like to test it before Timaru

So does that mean we can all have a go..... I prefure to ride, but will swing if a bunny like Biff rides, think I'll be safe there
ps: can Aaron have a go at wheeling or showing us an example of 'doing a runner' :apint:
pps: yes Kick, Ruapuna is before Timaru.... its also before Ashburton, but after Yaldhurst :niceone:

No you will not be riding it,I doubt you would be capable of coping with it after only be used to riding a Honda.
Remember I don't own it so the decision on whether I can take it out or not isn't mine

Sorry D, I've just read the HRC rule book. It states:
Section 3.2.13 - HRC and non HRC members that wish to join official HRC organised events are free to attend providing that:
(a) They do not wear gimp masks while watching the TV show 'Queer Eye For A Straight Guy'.
(b) They do not swap all their porn mags for Motto Guzzi workshop manuals, and still manage to stick the pages together.
(c) They do not believe that Cliff Richard is cool.
(d) Has never wanted to change their name to Tracey.
Safe to say you're forked on all accounts mate. Sorry.
