Hello all KB guys and girls out there! I have been reading many threads over the past week and i feel like i know some of you already, all the threads make very interesting reading!
Im just starting out into the wonderful world of motorbikes, have wanted one for years but Mum and Dad always said "no" as most parents would.
Sitting my BHST in a week or 2 then off shopping for a bike, most likely the new Ninja 250R in green! Havnt stopped thinking about it since sitting on one at Big Boys Toys a few weeks ago. As im sure most would agree, the best money ever spent is on a bike!
I look forward to seeing some of you guys out on the roads real soon!

Yes.. & no..
Yes.. coz it's unquestionably the BEST passion to have in the world... :first:
& no.. coz the BEST money you will spend on your new passion.. is proper rider training!!! :2thumbsup
A flash new bike might look good.. fancy gear might save ya skin & bones.. but good rider training might save ya LIFE!!!
Check out your yellow pages for courses.. &

The best money ever spent is on a decent meal... but a bike is a hell of a lot more fun...

Thanks to all that have posted so far, i agree with what everyone has said. I will definately be putting lots of time into rider training, half the reason of me getting a bike is to learn a new skill so will be wanting to maximise in that area!

a coffee service technician is very similiar to that of an appliance repair guy except i work specifically on the big commercial (and some domestic) coffee machines that you see in cafes and the like. Those little cheap machines you buy in Harvey Norman etc dnt count :)
My preference is for quick and nimble rather than bigger and slower but will try and check out a few others also. Thanks for your advice :)

We can start your therapy sessions this week, if you are free.
Good choice of bike. A student of mine has just bought one brand new and loves it immensely!
Take it easy out there, and definately get yourself a mentor. Other road users ARE out to get us!

I am counting down to the bike purchase, less than 2 weeks to go, maybe even a few days if a miracle happens!
Swoop, i am free anytime for therapy, as long as its free! I mean, i do (will) own a bike......
Are you offering your mentor services? :D

Yay i finally got there, picked up my new bike today!! The new 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Took a lot of organising and time on the phone but totally worth every minute!
Looking forward to going out for a ride round this weekend and learning all about my new toy.

New bikes - there's a lot of that going round tonight. I took delivery of a new (to me) bike tonight too. Congrats on your new purchase, enjoy your new-found freedom and be careful on the crazy xmas roads. :niceone:
