I've been to all three and reckon it just gets better every year. The weather was beautiful this time almost all weekend. Just a bit of rain Saturday early evening. Hats off to the organisers who do a brilliant job.

The press corps attended the event as guests of Venture Southland dontchaknow.
Some of them were treated to the finest food and shown around the attractions of the region as well as taking in the bikes. They present the place from the lifestyle aspect so that the scribes will write up the viability of lifestyles down there.
I actually ducked out on most of it - I work for a bike mag huh - I hitch-hiked around the events on my own schedule and hung out with mah posse at the 'puna on Saturday.
I picked up half a dozen lifts out to the camp grounds and back and held my finger out for maybe 10 seconds in total- the place was just buzzing.

Met one of your fellow 'norfeyeland' dwellers BD, said he was from Auckers and was a bit of a HOG 'lurker', he had been down other years and loved the lifestyle down here and was buzzing about the BM.
Not a bad chap to have a yarn to, John I think he said his name was.
