Yeah, would love to but... the current market saw my job disappear last week. Yes, I have to work to live beyond The Sandpit to survive.
Also Logan fell off at Matata (500mtrs in) and has buggered his cructial ligs(you know those things that hold bone and muscle together) :Oops:so he is out.
Been a real drama 2 weeks, as daughter came to grief at the water jump on Sunday (nags) and said horse fell on her and she has done angle ligs(you know those things that hold bone and muscle together).
So the family is broken, broke and beaten. Hell of a Xmas coming up.
Currently I'm looking at purchasing a mobility manufacturing operation specializing in Hyosung wheel chairs.
But shit there will be some new track put in at the Sandpit over the next few months. Good luck all!!

Na mate stretching like hell to make this new bike without spending our house money. But work in House plan drawing is a bit up and down and I'm not sure if I should be spending some of our safety margin on bikes at the moment seeing as how they are predicting doom and gloom for next year.
Anyway you'll get second if I'm not there!!!!:bleh:

Sorry to hear of the cluster of woes KTMboy. Hang in there. You won't be at the Sandpit anymore?! The kids should heal up quick, but don't delay or hesitate to get second specialist opinion if your intuition doesn't agree with GP. Healing only happens once - need to get best result possible. Make sure they eat quality re-building food.
No Waimiha GNCC for me, still way too unfit after lay-off. Was really looking forward to this round last year until cancelled last minute. Have stomped around Waimiha/Taumaranui a fair bit, duck shooting. 1st rate terrain (steep-rugged). Good luck to those heading down, looking forward to reports.

I'm in rookies as I haven't been riding long, Barty5 (aka Dick Turpin) is also in rookies:confused::confused:
Shame Ktmboy and Reckless aren't comming, looks like the super vets will be empty. Or is your mate Raymond going down Rick?

Well that was an interesting round not many turned up whole field rookies and clubman would have only been around 86 riders. Was very hot and dry, Track was very tight a few open road sections and couple of open bits towards the end where I was able to open up the bike good for passing. Found the best place for passing was the staircase of rocks straight up the right while most seamed to stay to the left in the ruts (dont know why so much smother and quicker to the right sheep sindrome i guess). Had a good tassle with Dammad1 till he dropped it when the front washed out and another good battle with a guy on an old 1985 yz490 who also dropped it in the end took me half a lap to get pass him. Problem was there where so many tree roots and stumps you would go to make a pass it would all go wrong and it was back to catch up mode nearly easyer to wait for them to drop it. ended up with 11th over all 1st for age and 3rd for bike class Rupe was 31st which may improve 3 for age and cant remmeber place for bike.
so all in all was a good day Strange place though as Tony had said Back end of no where. Looks like at the end of the working day they all left the mill went home and never came back real ghost town look.

was a good round aye. You did well to throw that big bike around to get a good result. Think all the other bikes except 1 were 125's and 250(4t).
There was a lot of people that track caught out on the first lap sat by their bikes unable to even finish one lap.

Yeah that place was real tough, I struggled badly, I would have loved to be on a smaller bike for that one, well done barty you did well to throw that 450 around in there, I was so stuffed in the end I could not stop dropping it.
I was looking at the times and there is something a bit odd about the guy in 7th position, check out his 3rd lap time, no way in hell he could have done a 27min lap without cutting the course somewhere.

Yeh i emailed greg this is the response i got back
I would seem a little out of the ordinary as the only rider to beat that time was Paul Whibley International star. And only once by 2 seconds.
We will look into it
cheers
Greg
That guy would be a legend if he was that quick hopefully they will sort it out as it will move us all up overall one spot and put me in second for bike class.

The extra point will be good as my mate Mike smoked me in that one and ended up 6th which caught him up alot of points on me.

Good on you guys Sounds like good placings and no busted bones or Bikes!!
Went out the sandpit today for a tootle. First time on the bike Since the last GNCC. Need to ride more but was saving for the new 200! Now with the downturn and a lot less work I have to make a final decision. Do I buy it or Do I keep a couple of mortgage payments in the bank for safety and keep riding the 03 ???

Interest rates are on the way down suffle you mortgage and youll save what youll spent on the new bike real quick. reakon they have a way to fall yet though high 5s low 6s

Yeah I also have been deciding what to do, was thinking about upgrading in the new year, but have decided to strip mine down and give it a good going over, new bearings and etc, suspension revalve and will through a new piston and rings at it after the GNCC series.

keep the 03, there is nothing wrong with it. I'm not sure what the next couple of years will be like, but you might need that cash.

Mortgage fixed for next year or two but it might pay to break it if the rates get good enough!!

Yeh but you got an 08 already and I want one!!!
Won't hurt you to keep yours though they won't do any major changes from the 08 for the next two or so models!

I know Rupe your probably right and I don't think a newer bike will automactically improve my riding skills either. But I WANT it??? Its the first of a new revision model that usually lasts for 3-4 years and its a damn good buy and did I say I WANT IT!!!
INTERESTING feedback though!! one says tick it up, the others keep what I got.
Anyone wanna buy a good 03 Ktm200 exc??? Please??

Yeah I know but I really like the idea of having a new bike and was hoping the 2010 model will be injected. Mines got nearly 90 hours on it now so have to decide weather to do some work on it or flick it, but the decision has been made the bike is now in pieces and the suspension will go away tomorrow to be done.

Fark that's my trouble!! I've only done 95 hours from April 06 till now!! Yes I keep a spreadsheet. 95 hours in the last 30 years actually. Do ya give lessons!!

Well if it were me, I'd keep the 03, spend some money on upgrades on what you have. And save up some money and wait for the EFI ones that should be out in a year or two.
Plus I wouldn't want to be splashing out at the moment. I know interest rates are comming down, but I know I wouldn't go throwing money around just at the moment.

Yeah I think I got it at the end of October last year, there certainly is no substitute for bike time, I haven't been riding for that long so I have to put in the hours as the guys I ride with have been riding all thier lifes.
As for the decision on spending or not, everyone needs to get out there and spend or else we will be in trouble.

Good work guys for the excellent results at Waimiha.
Tight and twist as per normal. Jeez I wish I could have been there.
Barty5 ah, going good on the 450 on a tight track, outstanding!
Remember to try to do all 5 rounds as you can drop your worst result. I see Birch didn't front eh. Time at home with the missus perhaps.
