Alrighty guy's. Firstly, sorry for starting a new thread. This Weds is the 2nd anniversary of Uncle B's death. Im coming along as a pilliom.
I reckon that it would be awesome to have a great turn out for this Wednesday nights ride and Im happy to organise a lead rider and a tail end charlie for the ride.
I thought that we could please everyone by having the lead riders take off first then the organised group 2nd. We will have designated stop points for the organised riders and just meet the first group there if they prefer. The organised group will at no stage go any faster than the posted speed limit, not negotiable.

I was thinking somewhere maybe not to far away and could organise ahead to have the cafe/pub expecting a certain amount of numbers.

Whaddya guy's reckon? Im happy if you just wanna do the same old but I would love to be able to honour Uncle B and make him proud.

I want to be in, but will depend on what time I can get away from work. If somewhere is arranged to stop for munchies and drinks then I may be able to meet there a bit later.

Well, if no one minds then maybe we could arrange a pub in plimmerton or maybe even paraparam (more in the middle) to meet at and then those that cant make the ride could meet us there?....

There's one in the mall beside cobbnco who's a rider and puts on a few plates of chips for a feed as well ! Selwyn has his number i think !
Someone will remember the name of it i'm sure ! Though it could get a little crowded out in the garden bar if there are big numbers lol

Righto. Im gonna turn up tomorrow night and suggest the pub in Paraparam. I will text the likes of Trudes and Skunk if they do not turn up and let them know where we are headed.
As I have not been on this ride in over a year I cannot just barge in but in memory of Bruce, I am gonna offer the organised ride to those who want it for wherever we go. Me and Malcolm (I am pillion) will either go tail end charlie or lead.

Its called Gordy's Bar and Gordy himself is a biker. Its attached to the back of the Cobb and Co restuarant on the main highway at Paraparaumu. Access thru the Coastlands Mall carpark. Plenty of bike parking around the back. Gordy has offered discounts to KBers so I reckon its a good venue. The TCWNR went there a few weeks back and most seemed to like it.

I never get that right.

No actually you really can. If you dont it will just be the standard level of organisation that involves everyone sitting around for half an hour hoping someone else comes up with an idea. Then the next day we all get on here and piss and moan at each other.
Maybe you could start coming on all wednesday night rides. it might sound sexist but that ride needs more females to balance it out and help organise. guys cant organise shit.

see you all tomorrow.

I would love to join yas but too tight this week to fit in any extra miles. Hope the weather is good like it were today for you all - ride safe and enjoy each others company in honour of someone who gave so much to others. :sunny:

Interesting, might try them out another time. Make a change from the Sandbar, which seems to be crowded evry time we have been lately. Touble with that area is there often is very few parks available when 20 bikes turn up.

I will be there.I didn't know Bruce through riding back then but through work.It would be the end of the day and you discover you are a sheet of board short to finish a job, knowing the cut off time is 3:30 for orders if you want it on the next days truck, would always ring and ask to be put through to Bruce,no matter how late in the day it would always be on the truck
