So i picked up a new bike and was told the odometer hasnt worked since it was dropped at the track. The meters dial spins but the other ones are solid. trip meter spins meters but nothing else.
pulled it out last nite, sorted the trip, locking bracket thing had come loose and wasnt engaging the gear properly.
its currently on 33099-9 the 9 spins around sweet. put the drill on it and wound it back to 33089 to check that the 2nd dial wasnt locked somehow. forward again and the last dial spun no problem back up to 9 where it jammed at 99 again. I cant see any signs of tampering although one of the screws that held the speedo drive on the back of the guage had a stripped head. I didnt want to pull the bar out that holds all the dials cause its clamped in pretty well and i doubt id get it back in the same way.
Any ideas?
Or names of guage calibration places in the wellington area that may be able to take a look at it for me ?
