well due to lack of work i was given my notice today - 4 weeks notice or i can walk out with 2 weeks pay.....
I've applied to follow my dads foot steps and join the Army - i've passed the written test and have the physical test on the 16th, my boss refused to let me work until a week before i ship off to basic training in January stating that they only have to give 4 weeks notice... pretty crap when they asked me to come work for them!
so with that in mind i'm looking for some homers to keep my bill collectors at bay - so if any one needs a service, cam belt, brakes, wof repairs or what ever for their cage - give me a PM or txt 021 129 0871

I know how you fell bro, I was told the same two weeks ago. I've got til the 19th then I have no job - and my recruitment agency isn't exactly being a huge help - not many people going to them wanting people to work around this time of year!

you may need to take advise on this, if you are made redundant with in 6 weeks of statutory holidays you must be paid for those holidays, even if they fall out side of the severance period, this is a law to stop employers dumping staff before a christmas / new years stat holidays, then reemploying after, to get out of paying staff for the stats, though you will need to check this out, through the proper channels.

All these people being laid off,and shops closing down - but no one seems to be wanting a job.....with English as a first language anyway.

Yeah they are really quite useless sometimes. I was made redundant for the 2nd time in 2 years earlier this year. They were rather unhelpful. When in doubt, rely on yourself I s'pose.
