Uh-Oh. Handlebar on EXC 200 has a disturbing 100mm long crack on end, so need a replacement pronto. Probably original bar on bike, it's about 95mm high so thinking is already the 'High' KTM option.

Would really like something a bit taller but trouble locating anything with KTM's v small 'sweep' dimension. i.e. amount the end of bars pull back towards rider. KTM = 38mm, everyone else roughly 50mm or even a lot more.

Yes I'm picky. But more sweep unfortunately means being even more cramped and I also greatly prefer a straighter bar as I reckon this helps with maintaining correct 'elbows up' position.

My height just under 6' or about 183cm. A bit cramped and stooped on the 2hunnerd. I could obviously add height at clamp but I like the idea of 2 birds with one stone, adding a touch more flex/vibe-dampening effect with taller bar (?)

Any seasoned Katoomers with same bar taste been here before? If not, anyone else with a lot of 'bar-hopping' experience found any brand/model to be better for flex/vibe dampening and lower fatigue? (I know - I need to harden up. Working on it. Aging body and mind uncooperative)

Hey there, im no expert on bars but my brother just replaced his bars with lower ones, he has the opposite problem to you (and I) they are Pro Taper pastrana bars and are quite high but im not sure on the sweep, used condition but straight, I can put you in touch if you're interested. cheers

Thanks Redrider, just had a bit of a check and looks like there are 2 Pro Taper Pastrana bends, one factory RM the other FMX high (but with skinny 775mm width? Good for monster double back-flips presumably).

Other reason I need to be fussy on sweep is when rotating bar a long way forward like I'll be doing, big sweep begins to stick up awkwardly. Could still be into checking your bro's bars tho, but don't want to waste anyone's time trying to measure bars just for me.

ive gone to a renthal fat bar on my husky, they call it a CR high, it feels good like my old crf with the 40 mm spacers under it, another option maybe?

I have pro-tapper ATV high bend on my 2wheeler and when your sitting, it automaticly lifts your elbo's into attack postion, and when im standing up my back is almost straight. which i like

I put some 25mm bar risers on my 640 and kept the stock bend.

Thanks all. I really appreciate the different ideas and angles. Been looking at FMX/Trials/ATV bends but increasingly feels like I'll be going with 'ask the audience' here and locking in standard bend with some risers.

Actually even pondering modifying and moving footpegs back a bit as well (with shortened foot controls) for more room and more neutral feeling stance. I really only feel 'right' with balls of feet on pegs.

(Ha kezzafish. Thanks- I'll try to avoid gay bars - think I'm on the right track with preference for straight bars. chuckle)
