Id go for a stubby can.Like the Scorpion Street Extreme or an equivalent.

These have the benefit of being well out of the way of luggage should you use it.

As an aside,I was looking at a 1250,and noticed there is a bulge in the collector just aft of where the oxygen sensor is located.I think this is one of the catalysers.I was wondering what the bike sounds like without a can at all.
The catalyser would deaden the sound to some degree.

It's a suzuki - get a Yoshimura!

We had one at RRRS on Sunday that had a nice Yoshimura TRS tri-oval on it and it sounded pretty horny.

The name brands are all pretty much alike on a street spec bike so you can go buy price or style

Have you ever heard a TBR or pair of such in action?

Oh yep. I was thinking more performance wise on a street bike. They vary a bit in sound - Two Brothers tend to have a deeper note than say a Yoshi or Leo Vince. D&D pipes are just bloody loud.

Whatever you look at purchasing should also come with a 'db killer' or 'quiet insert' -basically a reducer that screws/bolts, rivets into the end of the outlet to knock the sound down. Even if you remove it keep it for WOF time.

Heard a near new FJR with a set of Two Brothers on it a while back and it sounded fantastic!

A partial catalogue and a miscoded link too. One hopes a sloppy wed site isn't symptomatic of general business sloppiness.

I have a 1200 bandit with a Yoshi can and it sounds great once you take the end baffle out. It gives a deeper tone, plus gives a slight improvement in top end power. Great bike ......... love it

If you're not looking for a pipe that sounds obnoxious and blasts your ears out, stay away from Kerker. We had one on our 600 Bandit and it drowned out race bikes going around the Taupo track. It sounded good but was very, very loud.
