Had to start a new thread, ( Sorry mods) to make sure this is seen and read by the interested parties.

Unfortunately the series will NOT be taking off for the 09 winter series racing schedule, which means that the Nats is also out!

We have been working rather hard in the back ground to establish this class on it's own for winter series racing, as a lead into the Nats, but it has turned out impossible to fit the class in on it,s own, or at least with other road bikes!

To establish this class as i'ts own entity, would have required Dumping another class, and the people involved in those other classes would deffinately have been offended by my chosen club to nurture this class, and that comes from the committy involved ( good morals people)

So back to the drawing board for this.

To all that called or emailed or PM'D me, thankyou very much for your enthusiasim, and sorry to have failed with this.

Hmmm, if I'd got a job in NZ I would've been in like Flynn. Now I think I'll go ahead with travelling next year. Good effort Shaun, that would have been a dream come true for young up and comers.

I'm so disappointed too Shaun. It's such a good idea and a seriously affordable way for people to get into a modern performance bike race class.

Thats a shame it didn't get going for this year Shaun but i kind of thought it was a bit to late for you anyway.... maybe better with a year to work on it anyway.

The threads that had started just got way to long to bother reading through in their entirety. Did you actually say what bikes were to be used and will it be the same bikes when the class does kick off?

Can't say I'm up for riding the class having spent shed loads of cash on a SP600 for this year but its most certainly a good idea and having sponsored Leon Morris in the UK R6 cup a few years back I'm up for supporting this in some way, maybe with another young rider.

Be interested to learn more about the plans when they're finished

I was interested in watching this series and how it develops. I will be over there for the 2010 nationals. Might just jump into the 600sbk series (will need to pay for a bike/travel)
