NA... not racing again, due to un answered saftey issues from 2 years ago the BMRC and the Post Clasic Crew indervidualy decided not to race last year... so this year the PNSR team through a paddy and banned F4 and F5 buckets, Ill be farked with there organisation to race just 1 bike, if Im lucky Id get 'a' race.
This is a pitty, wish the PNSR commitee would get their shit togeather as it 'could/should' be a awesom event for those watching and those racing.

They didn't ban them, they just didn't include a class after no entries the previous year and as we know they are making the effort to accomodate guys taking buckets to this years event

Crap... TonyB spoke with someone (not the boss whom I have) the PNSR has not aproched me knowing who I am... and wipde do, they say get a group togeather and they might fit us in... they aint stupid man, they know with two weeks to go 99% of people have made plans for xmas.
Like I said above, I would like to get back there to race again... its up to them to fit us in and not with PC.

He didn't speak with the boss? so what big deal, it isn't one person who makes the decision it is the comittee and he spoke to someone on it and perhaps if he'd done it earlier buckets would have had more notice about being fitted in
They can run the Bucket class with whoever they chose if you don't like it dont go, plenty of others will
Did you ever think maybe they don't bother approaching you as you're to hard to deal with with?

off topic I know but who gives a fuck
great event, well worth doing except the organisers need to learn a few lesson from the guys running Greymouth as it is the best organised street race in the country and the times I did Nelson it was always running late and with big delays

Sigh. Not this crap again.
Last time (Jan 2 2008) was very well organised.
All of the safety concerns from the previous year (2007) were sorted.
The only issue was that the weather was too good, and a section of the tar melted, and they had to cut the meeting short. This time round they have a plan in place that will deal with the tar problem if the weather is that hot again.
I think its an awesome event, and I'll be racing.
Nuff said.

PS: beter still... how bout you race for a change instead of wanking on, try dealing with these people and the likes of you and try and make 45 club members ALL happy... its funny how I was re voted for the 3rd year in a row as BMRC pres, its either cos I DO a good job, or no fuker like ya self an be ased, so shut ya trap or stand up and do the job. ;p

Great day at Nelson, well run ,good track(good enough anyway). The organisers do it very well,as they have every year as far as Im concerned. This bloke has obviously never had to organise or be part of an organisation that runs a big event. Maybe he should give it a go sometime. That may dislodge his head from his arse. Not the best mouthpiece for a club I reckon.Doin ya club more damage than good, irrespective of how good ya think ya doin.

well then mate 1st off all I helped with the Greymouth street race and every year myself and the crew organise a days racing at ruapuna... so yes I know whats involved.
Answer me this... if you partner was let out the dummy grid late in the direct path of a falcon car doing over 100kph (if it wasent for fer keeping hard left for a change shed be DEAD)
How about this... a rider was still racing (back marker) and they opened the gate poeple WERE CROSING with bikes on the track.
Ohh yeah... different flags being flowen at the same time diferent posts.
And then they called up Post classics AND buckets instead of classics, and they knew 80% of bucket racers also ride post classics... the feild was a mess, this is all off the top of my head.
OK MATE... remember I am a spokesperson for a club... DONT shoot the messanger, the pressure was on me from 'others' to do/say something.
And also note, I am trying to promote the Nelson meet for next year, I WOULD like to see a full feild of buckets AND post classics.

the event was pretty good i thought. first time though.
no big cock ups to speak of and it seemed to run alot smoother than wyndham. only thing that was annoying was the flag mashals didn't seem to know what was going on. yellow flags in random places and the final corner marshall didn't know about the red flag at the nasty crash (in f2). but hey no bodys perfect.

So some things havent changed, they may not be perfect but a slip up like that by a flaggie can be a life lost.
Ok, now look I know how hard it is to get the likes of flaggies. With the lack of volinteers that know what they are doing it means unskilled people are forced into the job, pitty but yes again I relise thats how it goes, and for some reason NPR strugles more than most other meets.

Seeing as how this is got all stirred up again for the record I do have to correct you MyGxsf and I dont consider being concerned about conditions at a st race to be 'dribbling on' (Sorry TonyB but I am sick of the inaccuracies going back and forth especially by those with no firsthand knowledge of the issues... not you by the way ;) ).
• We (the BRMC as a group) wrote a letter of complaint with issue about the 07 races in Jan/Feb 07, it was never answered by Nelson club until D spoke to Darren in Oct 07 at Greymouth: there seems to have been some confusion by the Nelson Club as to whether it was answered earlier but no letter was received until NOVEMBER 2007, far too late for most people to change xmas plan to race in 08 if they wanted.
• At least 13 people signed the letter, not just one or 2. They are all individuals and perfectly capable of making up their own minds about going back to the races. D doesn't actually spend his time telling them what to do! Sometimes the line between the Pressie of the BRMC and the stirrer Ginga Dangerous get a little blurred.
• Everything stated in the letter DID happen. e.g. the safety concerns, etc. As well as the poor organisation at the 07 races: e.g. If you happened to have brought 2 bikes (eg in this case a PC and a Bucket you got a grand total of 3 races... 2 PC and one bucket, there were about 10 people affected by then sudden combination of the 2 classes on the dummy grid). On the other hand if you had one Motard you got 5 races. Not many racers I know would be happy with that, and memories are long unfortunately, treat someone poorly and they tend to remember it for some time
• All of the above may have changed and if circumstances were different then I would still like to race at nelson, cos in general I enjoyed the day but was disappointed by things that went on. And believe me there were some people WAY more upset about the organisation of it than D, shown by only 2 or 3 people at the following years races. He just tends to bear the brunt as he opens his gob and speaks out a bit much at times. ;)
• FWIW I was NOT pregnant at the 07 races but was for both the 08 and the 09 so the fact is neither D nor myself were ever likely to race the last 2 years. Taupo was his treat for this year and that was organised back in about August, too late to change plans at a later time.
• Forget the red rep MyGSXF, it only counts on KB not the real world: its the reputation people get offline for their actions that is far worse... or perhaps better.
Yea, I mean you MATE!

Gees I really dislike seeing the word 'Mate' when the intention is to piss someone off.
Sometimes D does get carried away but in this case WE all had valid concerns.
Perhaps instead of denegrating people with your first post on KB v-twin, you actually listen and read further. Generally people respond like with like... dont get upset if someone retaliates after you have criticised over a situation you may know little about (and I am talking about the 07 race situation not the current NPR situation which is a totally different kettle of fish).

Its funny how people who were not there or not involved find themself in a position to comment on this situation (I was there and I put my name to the letter)....... more probally, to troll for a reaction than to be proactive.
I think the concerns the riders brought up after the '07 meeting have been addressed and plenty of water has gone under a bridge that will need some rebuilding and I for one will be working with the organisers of the Nelson Street Race to get good numbers there for 2010.
If anybody wants to discuss what happened, I was there, I was involved. I'm more than happy to fill you in (but most of it has been dragged out here many times). PM me, discussing it here does nothing for the running of this Meeting.

I spend most of my time on a motorcycle.I regularly make it to Ruapuna when there are m/c events happening.I dont know you but you have been pointed out to me.
I must say that the club you represent seems to be getting bigger, faster and flasher and there seems to be a lot of fun going on,and you all seem to be represented at just about every meeting that goes on there.
Between the Street Stock class and the bucket class you all seem to do a great job at getting youngsters into the sport.
I saw an ambulance tear across the track in the path of some very fast bikes down the straight at one meeting not too far back. All clubs/event organisers have a bad to terrible day at some point in their history and people do get hurt or worse.Nobody wants this but it does always say on the ticket "Motorsport Can Be Dangerous.Enter at your own risk" or similiar
I raced for some years and have been 'there'.Seen a couple of unnecessary and tragic endings to people Ive known well, on a race track. Sad ,but part of our game wether its racing for fun or racing at the top end.
Maybe you think that jumping up and down and slagging people/clubs may help make the sport safer? I dont!

This thread is both a good and a bad thing at the same time. There has been some personal digs and such.
But this motor racing sport is about passion, and without it you aint got nothing, personal views are diverse, and that is not a bad thing either. Getting it all right for the day on the track or street must be a night mare, trying to cater for everyones desires, and to make it intersting for the spectator.
Safety is a huge issue, and no doubt people know that fully. Hell if somone falls over in the workplace and seriously hurts or mames themselves, persons responsible along with the company will find them selves in deep expensive shit/and or time in jail.
What we do on bikes and all the supporrt people and all the people around and behind the scenes make it what it is. When it goes bad, no doubt serious investgations go on to find cause etc (not sure if there are penalitys for the guilty)
I see some of this disscussion highlights things have not been great in the past, obviously they are inproving with every year, and there appears to be a fair amount of interest in getting buckets on the scene and that is fab ( I would love to race it)
With out people highlighting issues and being the sqeeky wheel nothing would ever be looked into and changes made.
As it goes I have been stoked with my first year in the chch bucket racing scene, dangerous and others on the track have made the year a fecking enjoyable. A shame to see D step down from the hot seat. Certainly putting some wood on the fire and highlighting issues, "someones gotta sqeak some"
Everytime I seen dangerous he's been over to see how things going etc, and then off to see others, making sure stuff is on track.
Put my name down for 09, Buckets and PC's if they in, cause hot dang I love the Greymouth street thang, and I am down for more of that!!!!!:Punk: And Nelson is a gret place in the Summer:sunny:

Seeing as how this is got all stirred up again
Yup.. by D. as mentioned by others.. again..
We (the BRMC as a group) wrote a letter of complaint with issue about the 07 races in Jan/Feb 07, it was never answered by Nelson club until D spoke to Darren in Oct 07 at Greymouth: there seems to have been some confusion by the Nelson Club as to whether it was answered earlier but no letter was received until NOVEMBER 2007, far too late for most people to change xmas plan to race in 08 if they wanted.
So, you've just stated yourself that D spoke to Darren in Oct 07! The issues D mentioned.. again.. were dealt with for last years races. Why then is D dragging the SAME issues up for the 09 races??
Sometimes the line between the Pressie of the BRMC and the stirrer Ginga Dangerous get a little blurred.
Then the pressies actions need to be more appropriate... as mentioned by others.
Everything stated in the letter DID happen.
Never said it didn't. I was there remember! I saw the shocking car driving, & lots of motards in races & lack of buckets etc. The issues were dealt with for last years races! & remember there is limited time for the event. They did what they needed to at the time. They can't please everybody, ALL the time.
memories are long unfortunately, treat someone poorly and they tend to remember it for some time
so we've noticed...
he opens his gob and speaks out a bit much at times. ;)
so we've noticed..
I was NOT pregnant at the 07 races.
Sorry if I am mistaken G.. but that's not what your's & D's posts in last years thread say.
Forget the red rep MyGSXF, it only counts on KB not the real world[/B]: its the reputation people get offline for their actions that is far worse... or perhaps better.
Not worried bout the red rep chick. I think it's funny! & he who points the finger the worst needs to take a long hard look in the mirror..
and that is how i see it... others may not/dont
As mentioned by others, maybe they didn't reply to your letter, coz you are so difficult to deal with D

I've known you for many years D. I am aware of what you may do. However, I am also very aware of the trouble you cause with your difficult & often very rude behaviour!
& jus so you know.. I got several green reps & pm's from people over last year's thread.. stating it was good to have my voice of reason, talking into your relentless 'downing' of the event!
& as for me being a troublemaker... takes one to know one!! :bleh:
Maybe see you at next years races then...?? ;)

and this whole post is just yet more shit-stirring... does it ever end from you MyGSXF??? I honestly cant be fucked correcting you AGAIN cos as usual you will just throw yet more red herrings into the works. YOU were there are a SPECTATOR, not a RACER... please remember that.
Who gives a toss about rep, sheesh woman, grow up! I've known you for a fuck sight longer than D and I hate to say it but you have not improved with age.
People is glass houses shouldn't throw stones, MyGSXf. Just as well most people DONT know the things we do about you huh? that might make a few squirm.
Enough on this from me... I'M NOT into trying to wreak people lives.

Nothing personal at all with my posts.Ive seen how the buckets have gone from , well just being buckets to a really big and successful class, and I have mentioned how good an entry level class, for junior or new racers to the sport it has become. If you had even a small part to play in that, and I have noticed you running around keeping in touch with your fellow bucketeers doing what good club leaders do, you deserve more than a pat on the back.
We all do what we feel we should do. From what I read , you are stepping down from the ' presidents/spokesman position, due to a new addition to the planet arriving. Hope all goes well for you both, and that (no disrespect) he/she isnt a' ginga'.Im sure we have enough already
My posts may just have to wait till another,"D" type hits the ether
