Im thinking of side grading (not quite an upgrade) to a 250 and was thinking along the lines of a Kawasaki Balius, nice size, ZXR motor and reasonable styling for a naked.. then I noticed that Suzuki make the exact same bike ... and i mean exact same bikeGSX250FX... only they adopted dual shocks at the rear as opposed to Kawasakis Mono shock.

Whats the difference? aside from the Kawa looking more tidier at the rear?

Granted there are subtle changes but the similarites are greater. Anyways, I was just curious if ther was a performance benefit/disadvante to either set ups.

Technically there should be an advantage with a monoshock and a properly arranged rising rate curve. But without launching into a diatribe of similiar length to ''War and Peace'' the reality is that bikes of this size are very much built to a price and the suspension components are well away from top shelf in technology and performance. The thing I would therefore be most preoccupied with is which bike overall suits you best.
