Hey, just thought i'd post on the off chance that someone would know (i've done searches on the web etc but it's always nice to get first hand opinions) - can you recommend a shop for decent bike gear (leather jackets in particular) in London (UK) I'm here for a while but coming back to nz and thought id see what they have on offer. TIA

If you can hang on till the last week of January the Alexandra Palace bike show should be on, there's normally plenty of deals to be had there.

MCS in Leicester have an excellent shop but its an hour and half out of london
If you can wait to the BMF show in May you should be able to snap up some real bargains
Loads of second hand leathers kicking around on flea bay as well

Hello, xtskinz,
Some of the above is a bit out of date - the London Motorcycle Show is on the last week in January - but at the Xcel Centre (near the Docklands area)
Check out www.motorcyclenews.com for info.
If you are after leathers, watch out where they're made, check out the thickness and stiching.
Frank Thomas outlets usually have a clearing sale just after Christmas - I got my jacket that way at about half normal price.
Apparently, at the end of the recent show at the NEC, some traders were almost giving (last year's) stuff away.
The bike show will almost certwinly have traders offering made to measure stuff as well (see how rich you are!)
erratum: - there is a show/autojumble at Ally pally - but not until 27/28 Feb - have a look/ google at "Andrew Greenwood Classics)

Cheers guys.... thanks for the tips and links! Haven't been online for a while but will check out some of the suggestions. Any other particular shops that you've used would be great!
