Allows you to select colors, designs, paint finish, and even certification levels (US or Europe standards), They look awesome helmets for a scooter - and only just over $1755 NZD plus postage (depending on what design you get).
I'm guessing you will be seeing a ton of them on the road with NZ's budget and safety conscious scooter riders.
I would post a pic of my design - but you know, infractions and all.

Well, the padding looks nice and comfy.
Not too sure about a $1700 price tag though.

For somepeople yes. Like Jay Leno, Bill Gates and Brad Pitt.
For others it *may* be a bit more than you would want to spend.

Bloody hell... Im guessing you'll see none on NZ roads as they cost more than the damn scooters..! Or maybe a few folk in Ponsonby would wear them.. in fact they could probably open a shop on Ponsonby road with all the other 'ponsy' expensive gear..
btw, hows the Madstads going?

My helmet cost more than that - and I saved a stack of money by buying it in the US.
Edit - I have a BMW SportIntegral Carbon-fibre lid. The current recommended retail is €1,250 = $3,365.55 NZD incl GST
I paid $1,500 USD. Which was about $2,000 NZD at the time that I bought it.

You do know you could but the exact same helmet for $500 if you didnt have the BMW sticker on it
regardless, The helmet you are talking about is top of the range materials etc - this stuff is just pretty.

Why would you bother, when a Davida Jet is only 200 quid?

Yeah I know I was expensive. But I really, really like the BMW carbon-fibre lid.
Only weighs 1kg. It is easily the lightest and most comfortable lid I have ever owned.

I've already got a plain silver one, but it's actually hotter than my full-face vented lid so doesn't get worn much now.
