Has anybody purchased and aftermarket fairing sets from e-bay? Most cheapish ones seem to originate from Hongkong...
Looking at sprucing up the 'Blade & for the price of getting my front repaired & painted I could order a whole new set.
I have heard they are a botch job, but that doesn't concern me, its no show'n'shine bike... (I suspect my current fairings are actually a set of these).
Anyone had experience with these cheap aftermarkets? Can give advice?
The seller seems pretty reputable.

You get what you pay for. Seen em, they're pretty average fit and finish.

read a few reviews of these on a gixxer site. seam to be average quality. look alright at a distance but close up not the best.
Often things don't light up as well as stock, and got big gaps, but if you are only after a basic might do the trick
Another idea is get hold of crazyfox(from this site) he is in wellington and does painting/plastic repairs at very good prices out of his house. Should he could fix/paint whole stock fairings for simlar to set of those aftermarket fairings.

Thanks for the replies, I might give crazyfox a try... Like I said, I think my current ones are the same cheap product (but cracked/snapped etc), so couldn't go too wrong replacing them outright I guess?

Thought I'd post up the fact that I replaced my set with some cheap HK ones a couple of months back.
Personally for $1200, I couldn't really beat the fact I got brand new allround semi-decent kit. Not very sturdy. Paint is ok, pretty sweet really & fitting took a bit of huff & puff but not too bad... I keep in mind I was quoted $1200 to get the previously smashed cheapies back together (and their paint was shocking).
There we go for anyone thinking of going el cheapo.
