Very excited to be on board, great to be amongst a bunch of like-minded/passionate/nuts Ducati lovers ;)
Thanks heaps to Kerry from KTL and Rob, Dave etc from the Anglo team for all their efforts so far and only hope I can do the bike and team justice. Going to be good fun teaming up with Vicki as well who will hopefully let me know the secrets to punting a big v-twin round the track.
First race report from Puke will be up shortly, just can't wait to get on it again! All going well we'll be campaigning the bike at the tri-series, street meets and sound of thunder this summer so won't be short on track time and will have lots of chances to adjust to the bike and work on the setup.
Look out for the Anglo team at Manfield this weekend, seeya at the track.
p.s. hopefully someone's got some race shots from Puke on the weekend so I can update my profile pic!

Nick is completely gutted about being taken out on the second lap of the first F1 race of the first tri series event.Broken colar bone and a badly bruised foot. Its put paid to his racing for the next 8 weeks. But has not affected his atitude towards racing and is busting his gut to get back on the Ducati 999:Punk:.It will be already for him at the Sound of Thunder ,if he is up to it...(No pressure Nick,Honest:no:)Sooo lets Carry on racing....Hmmmm anybody want to race a 999 for the next 8 weeks.LOL:laugh:

It only seems like yesterday that we got Nick Odermatt on our 999 .He was unlucky to break his collar bone on the second outing:doctor:...He finished with some excellent racing at Paeroa & the Sound of Thunder plus a great first time run in the Cliff hanger:clap:...He has decided to do his OE and flew out today for 4 weeks in Thailand and some over god forsaken country then off to hang out with the poms:doh:..With the aim of getting to the isle of Man...:niceone:We wish him all the best for his future & will welcome him back on board when he returns(if its not toooo long). I heard that too. Pity, as Im sure there must be some 'crashed' ones around the world by now going cheap. Is it because of the lack of sales here? or the cc rating? If only we had more BEARs racing up here in the north. Seems like the south Island has it sorted in that respect eh.

The current Ducati models are 1198,1198s and 1198r
I think the 's' would still be eligible? alot cheaper too! 170hp compared with 180hp in the 'r' or something like that, all of the rest of the kit is about the same, should be competitive.

To the best of my knowledge low volume and high spec suspension ( thats a matter of opinion as its still road focused and internal upspec work would still be required )

I think the way you guys do it is really good. Even just supplying the bike free's up cash needed to own a racebike.
Hell I wish more people would do it................I myself would be able to afford alot more racing if I didn't own the bike.

.....Jay Lawrance?
Only because hes dropped the hit to me about racing my 1098s, seriously i would love to see my Duke out there if it was me on it!
It boils down to too much dosh to run a bike like that especially since id still be racing the Yamaha, bummer, just be good to see one out there.
You can buy a brand new stock 1198 for less than the 1098s was new! id still chose the lower cc bike because of the Ohlins, Machesini Rims etc i think theres about a 10hp difference between the two models.

Yeah. It was just japanese technology that makes new triumphs work, so they're still allowed.
I'd love to have a crack on a thou version of the 675 if they'd make one.
