Ok, with a wee off prior to making a late entry to the upcoming Tri-series I've been pushing it to get ready in time, not helped by flying out to work a couple of weeks ago and not getting in until the evening before the Manfeild test. So for a few days prior to heading out I was a blur of arms and legs thrashing about in a cloud of fibreglass matting and sanding dust in the shed. I climbed onto the plane still scraping the red paint from under my fingernails and off my watch (bugger) but the bike was pretty much ready.
Since then I've been organising accomodation, tyres and (hopefully, maybe, almost, fingers crossed, please purty please) sorting a spare set of rims from offshore. Not to mention doing plenty of imaginary laps in my head as I try and get my knee down on the stationary bike in the platform's gym. Seeing as how I've got no idea what Wanga's looks like from inside the haybales they are most definitely imaginary....
All the while I was trying not to think about the weather. Yesterday I held my breathe and opened up the 10 day forecast.....only to release it with an explosive: FUCK IT!
It's taken me 'til now to find the mouse again which I hurled away in disgust...
