Huge thanks to Qkchk for the brilliant BHS training and test in the Saturday morning.
Then head to AA to scratch the paper and trash my 1F card.
Now, start looking for my first bike, possibly VTR250, because everyone love it.
I still can't believe that I did it. Haha...

Hi Carlos,
Good to see you are have joined KB, you will meet and make many friends throught this forum. Well done on passing your theory test! Dont give up your dreams of buying a VTR, lovely bike for learners. Keep an eye on the NASS thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=77111) for free training nights for learner / restricted riders. (Will be starting back up on the 14th Jan)

I have a VTR. Although the venerable old GN250 is probably better to boost your confidence initially, you'll outgrow it soon. A VTR is great as a commuter / short distance bike, very forgiving and has a bit of pep (50% more HP) than the GN250.
Have fun test riding for your first bike.

hey, well done and stuff. And my fabled vorpal VTR of doom's been good to learn on, I recommend them too!
Now you're all legal and everything go and have a sit on some bikes anyway (bike shops, mates, people parked up outside the dairy if you ask them nicely) and see what feels right. Important your bike passes the bum test, it's you that's going to have to sit on it.

Thanks for your kind words. Tried this VTR250 (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports/auction-189357291.htm) in Sunday. Feel very comfortable, and easy to control. The current owner is nice and babies the bike very well. Start riding soon! :woohoo:

Pick up my baby yesterday. The previous owner brought me to a school car park and did some practice. He is such a nice guy that give me not only some suggestions, but also a book called "The Biker's Bible". I will read it on the Sunday flight to China. Maybe, I shouldn't leave at all...
Will post some photos later on.

? I hardly think it's worthwhile getting a gn250 to gain confidence for a VTR250......... I think more like the VTR is the confidence builder for the 600+ to come....
