just got an outtakes brand back protector off trademe.
are they anygood?
they must be better than nothing as ive never thought about back protection. and ive seen that a lot of people here wear back protectors so thought must be somthing about them.

Supose it would be I mean everylittle bit helps right? as long as its tight enough so that if you do hit it it wont move to much. Others on here should be able to help you out more, particularly the racers.

yeah i think your back is a pretty vulnerable part of you so need to try to look after it.
i dont race just think that any protection will help and just wondering what that brand is like.
i got it of trademe for 50 bucks.
hope i didnt get ripped.

I paid fuck all for mine but then I'm a jammy prick that works in a bike shop. It has also gone missing.
You didn't per chance buy a red one with a kidney belt and no shoulder straps did ya?

Any back protector is better than none. But - make sure it's articulated and doesn't have any obvious scratches - Scratches are surprising in the amount of weakness that they impart...
I really like the Koch ones... (though I wear just plain CE safety set)
Does the outtake have a CE label on it. (If not, then it isn't CE rated... )
