there is a lot of discussion on KB about them. hit the search button but in the meantime:

Theres a write up of Big Dave's capital coast adventure ride on one. I know he rated it very highly.
a number of KB'ers have them too. hopefully they'll chime in.
its on my shortlist for "next bike" as well. I love them, and Ive ridden one for a decent test ride also.

Ms Wheels and I have been discussing offline.
I think she is better suited to a Bonneville or T100 - for the type of riding she has in mind.
Or would need to 'roadify' the tyres. The Scrambler is a bit taller than the Bonnes too.

BD champion's the scrambler faithful, and assist's a damsel in one smooth maneuver.
What a guy:-)

Don't like the location of the exhaust pipes on those bikes.

Would love to have a go on one sometime, on road and off it. Looks like a bloody brilliant ride, and not too shabby looking itself either.

I think she is better suited to a Bonneville .
I guess she can test ride both and see what fits better. Both are great bikes - easy and fun to ride. Classic motorcycles with modern benefits.

Don't listen to me as I am totally biased & unobjective
Bonnie / More rev friendly , if you like lots of revs
More luggage friendly
More friendly to short people
More tyre choice for street use
More performance over 120 KPH [ arguable ]
Scrambler / More betterer looks
More betterer sound with open pipes
More mid range if you like to short shift
More betterer steering under 120 , steering is quicker, they
handle great up to 120 then get progresively more nervous
with speed, not unsafe just nervous
More suited to big people
Much much more betterer with Pirelli Scorpions than standard
tyres for road work.
Heat from the pipes is not a problem but is noticeable in city
commuting
Any thing else ????

Ain't that the truth!
Slipped some Scorpian ST's on this weekend gone.:woohoo:
To hell with the adv riding gig for a month, I be cranking it over on Harbour road this summer.:sunny:
And still pretty controllable on light gravel.

I quite liked the scrambler but found the pipes made it very awkward for standing up on the pegs - which is what you do a lot, on a dirt bike. The Scrambler also has a different engine to the Bonnie - 270d phased crank which makes a more pleasant engine note in my opinion. (TRX 850 bias there)

Love it to bits.
Didn't expect to like it as it was so basic.
Does anything anywhere.
See BD's thread on ADVRider http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141616&highlight=Scrambler

Good choice littlewheels.
Theses new Bonnie machines are very reliable, (read, built like a tank), and should give you years of rolling pleasure.

Nice work.
In the fullnes of time, get the bearings checked (wheel, steering and swing arm), check chain and sprockets, brake pads, tyre pressures, give the spokes a wiggle - particularly on the rear, buy it a lube service and you go girl.
