not really liking the look of the bike, I think the width of the front fairinfg is well kinda oversized? I have only ridded a few Buells but they dont really impress me (apart from the ulysses which is an amazing bit of kit and whos riders are so clearly of the higher intellect group of riders in the market)

I guess its one of those things, you like it or dont like, for me this aint in the choice set.

Cheque is in the mail.
I still rate the XB12X as the most versatile bike on the market.

Don't particularly like the look of this bike either - you can find a nice angle - and some weird ones - but it is function over form - and some guys like V-strom looks huh.

I did enjoy the way it goes - a lot - and I do quite like the looks of the new nekkid one.

Got to admit, that realisation sold me.
You don't happen to know the price do you?

Sounds pretty reasonable.

I think that bike is uglier than the V-Strom. Something just dosnt fit - its like the shapes they used dont work together - Hard to explain - but I can see it sticking out like dogs balls.

That was a fantastic piece of writing from Dr James Deuce the Walsh! :niceone:
He didn't mention the cooking of his right foot though, that all the other reviewers whined about.

I didn't notice any foot cooking either. And I rode it in the outback.

Hmmmm not really gone on the look of the front but the underslung pipes look pretty nice. And I just cant get my head around the whole rim brake setup, its just plain weird

It weighs 2.5kg less than a GSX-R setup and works pretty much the same as far as I can tell.

A better pilot could probably refute that - but 'good as' for my skill set.

Another lovely piece of writing by that Jim fella - you should keep him on....

I prefer the CR as slightly less insectoidal looking...and I fit it.

and I want one.......

Yeah, it may work well but it'd definately be a two bag shag...

Not that I have any idea of what looks good... Spy vs Spy and all that...

So, does it come with the CR option, yet?

Nice writing there James. Well except for going totally George Bernard Shaw with the commas in that first para... LOL.

Glad to hear you didn't munt it dropping it on the foot.

I'm not sure about the looks either. But it does look better than a V-Strom.

i like the looks but will need to see it in the flesh before making my judgement
here is my shot of the 1125r

hey BD see when comments like the previous are posted i tend to not bite as we both know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we both know buells are not made for looks they are made for riding.

Om nom nom!
You better tell me how it feels to sit on!
Can't choose between the CR and the ZX-14 as the bike I want to get after my Legend plate is gone. TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS!

Seriously like the CR though, exhaust unit looks a trippy piece

EDIT:
I can just ride there on friday...
SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO ON MY LAST DAY AT WORK!

I LIKE IT

The new motor gave me an excuse to like it

The article I read - one of - NO, THE best one I read this year, sealed it.

Some Guy hanging out with Eric the Man himself.......drinks on the Buell tab, - all seemed to make perfect sense to me.

I really hope this motor works out

You're onto it...

Maybe it's one of those bikes that look better in the flesh. Seriously, I do like the look of the previous models. It was a bit disappointing to see these as the next generation. Suppose they had to compromise with the new engine with radiators and the fairing for function...

No toasted feet here. In fact, keeping the balls of your feet on the pegs was cooler than riding duck footed. I reckon there' s cunning airflow directed at your feet.

Oxtar (Now TCX) make good boots.

Raidator cowls remind me of the intakes of an A-6 Intruder. Man that thing could pack a punch in its day.

your on the money with "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" My partner (balzybuell) is the proud owner of the 1125r.

It's not much to look at when ya first see it but the more you look the better it becomes.

Who cares what it looks like anyway cuz man it goes like the clappers 2 up over the rimmies:woohoo:

Man, another coffee down the windpipe moment right here.

You guessed it. It just stalled into a dead faint and slowly toppled onto my foot. The iPod wearing gentleman didn’t even notice my desperate plight and continued his journey while I coated the inside of my visor with spittle.

Brilliant stuff Jim.

As for the bike, you'd be a fool not to give one a try after the accolades it's been getting and the marvelous engineering concepts are real good, but.....I've gotta join the naysayers here, yes I'm afraid I'm one of those shallow people that count a bikes looks amongst the necessary criteria for bike purchasing.

I love riding but I also spend a lot of time just plain looking at my bikes, sorry guys but that fella, sweet as it may be to ride, looks like a home built one off with supplementary wheelbarrow parts.

I see innovative engineereing and design efficiency.

A MVF4 is a beautiful thang. I need to stop and get off it every 30 minutes.

This thing I can ride all day and it still looks quite OK at the end of it.

What an excellent read that was. As a man who rides a Tuono and quite likes the look of Staffies and Bull-terriers, I suspect the 1125's looks will grow on people. It definitely has muscles and purpose written all over it.
I wont be going near one. I can't afford to start lusting after new wheels.

Not interested in the slightest.

Don't need one.

Didn't read the link.

'Specially the bit about the squished eyeballs.

Haven't read any of these posts.

No idea what yer all on about.
