Got the GSXR750 on Friday - Happy days are here again :2thumbsup .
Checked the bike today and there is already radiator damage - does anyone know if you can get radiator guards for sports bikes in NZ?

As scroter suggested Donald, mesh from Repco is what's been installed on my bike.
Suggestion: Change the bike details in your profile so the world can see another transfered to Gixxer heaven.
You're stuffed now mate, once you've owned a GSX-R, all the others pale by comparison!

As the other guys have said.
I made a gaurd for my bike before I even rode it. Glad I did too.

You COULD do what the others suggested, and "jimmy" a piece of mesh over the radiator. OR...... You could purchase a specifically designed for your bike/model, colored (to your choice) quality radiator guard from various outlets. I got me one coming in the mail from Aus, via the US.
PS: Probably go with the DIY mesh, it's pretty easy - I'm just a lazy git!
Either way, you should definitely get one asap.

Not that I'm a prick or anything, but I sure would laugh my arse off if you got another hole while waiting for the guard to arrive.
OK. I am a prick....

Ok, I would have to admit, that would be funny! And, it wouldn't surprise me either! But, it comes this week, as well as my Tshirt! I will be DA MAN hahaha

And Jimmy, will you be doing a little 'Repco' job on my bike before I get it? Might be an idea eh - hate to think how many roadworks I'll go through between Wellington and Auckland.

I'm just getting a guard made up soon by some engineers.
They want to use Stainless steal. Did that work good for you?
Aren't they normally aluminum?
Are you happy with the 5mm gap size?
Would you do anything differently?
Thanks.

Ohh golly it's like 3 yrs ago this morning.
I just bought some stainless wire mesh & cut to shape with snips, put some rubber strip on the side & cable tied it to the rad. Works fine & no restriction.
