North Harbour MiniMotoX held its last club day for the year, on Sunday at the Wightman property, Waimauku.

The format for the days 3 races, the first two races of the day will be scored the final race being a fun race. trophies were given to the top three in each class.
I knew my little fella wouldn't make the the top 3, but was very happy to see he ran top 5 in all 3 races, he really enjoyed himself, had a couple of close calls, where he almost got thrown from the bike going over accelaration bums trying to get on the gas for a jump, but managed to hang in there, and still made the jump.
On loading the bike up at the end of the day, I found the bike wouldn't shift into or out of gear, so he was lucky to have finished his last race, had the bike checked out, to find it has a broken gear shift shaft, can't get 1, none in country, so on back order from Japan, that suck so prob wont get one till next year. was hoping to do Harrisville this Sunday.
Oh well that Racing.
all in all a great day.

Cheers.
I've been helping him out with suspension for a couple of years now, 1st on a couple of SX50's and over the past year on the SX65 and its been interesting to watch him develop from a mid pack rider up to top 3 in class through out the North Island and now adays a winning rider. He's a good polite kid and provides good feed back as to how the bikes are working and the effects of changes made. He has had some training from Chris Birch and other trainers and its really starting to pay off. In fact he is doing another session with Chris at the Sandpit on Friday.
I hope to continue working with him up through the grades and various bikes.
