Howdy,

As per the title, can anyone in West Auckland lend me a 250cc (or less) bike?

Miss Mully has been going pillion with me for a while, and I've managed to convince her to come to the light side and do her 6L.

She has done her BHS, but has no actual useful riding experience, and she's a bit worried about braking, clutching and changing gear all at once.

I want to take her to a closed carpark type area and let her have a play on a small bike (she's not tall enough to ride the RF, and because it's basically a supertanker on wheels, it's a bit heavy too) to increase her confidence level.

Ideally GN or Scorpio type. Although the only requirement is that it has a proper clutch and gearbox.

There's a full tank of gas and a box of amber fluid to anyone who lends us one. Plus obviously it's a "we break it, we fix it" deal.

Cheers,
Mully.

mt eden m'cycles have a TR250 (suzi Volty) I borrowed for my full a while back, would be absolutely mint for her to practice on, and cheap as chips to hire- and includes insurance, I was absolutely amazed at how easy it was to ride around on, powerless as, and turns on a dime. I think it may be the best way to go, it was about $50- actually I think less for the whole day. Unlimited kms and no worries about filling it up with gas. Just a thought and it takes the worry out of dropping someones bike and having to fix it.

Thanks FF.

Do you know if they rent it to learn on, or to do licence testing only?

I could, of course, just ring them, but I'm incredibly lazy.

I have a spare Hysoung, but it's probably bigger than the aforementioned supertanker.

It's your if you need it though, just needs some Clutch adjustment.

Hell i didn't even know a person could use an ipod for that and I am considered a geek in the circles I hang out with... I think I need a lie down now.

As for the bike thing.. Good for you for not making her try and ride the rf.. The man is always trying to get me to kill myself on his... its freaken huge, have to lay on the tank just to reach the handlebars and turn... :baby:

iPod touch with wifi ftw

I think you can use more than one finger on ipod touch, right? for example, two thumbs. :2guns:

You can, but I tend to hold the thing landscape (the picture swivels depending on which way you hold the unit), which makes using two thumbs a bit hard. Plus I tend to type fast on a normal keyboard, and I can't on the ipod, which annoys me.
