Do you want to start racing or move up a class to F2 maybe go play in "Bears" class...Well this is the bike for you..The best from Italy with Ohlins Suspension....This "R" model was $42000 new and is bloody good value at $13000.... The bike is not running due to a buggered computer.Cost is approx $1500 for a Nemisis computer. We decided to put the money into our second race bike ,also 749R, which is piloted by Vicki Streifler...... Has uprated suspension,Billet bottom triple clamp, performance muffler,Running stock aircleaners ,Dead loss system (Comes with parts removed)Dynoed at 110hp rear wheel (Remember this bike is stock other than opened up muffler). We will look at trades so Give Kerry Jeffs a ring 021765912,,or go to KTL motorcycles in Morningside ,Auckland.... You can also PM Vicki "Flame" or Nick O ..We have dropped the price to $10000 if that helps???.

Hey Rob . Why has the bike blown an ECU would be my question & if only $1500 for a new one wouldnt it help sell the bike if its going ? or as above has the bike got a fault that will keep damaging the ECU ?

The last time Drew rode it was in the wet at Manfield. He did his normal fall off:( and drowned it in a lake at the side of the track:weep:...Then the bike was trailered back to dorkland in the pissing down rain:oi-grr:So the poor thing didnt have a chance..SOOOO when we got it home it wouldnt start..Took it to Heldenes and the ecu decided not to play ball and locked them out......Ok there it is...:whistle:If it doesnt sell we will put a computer in it,Nemisis from the U S OF A,Which gets rid of the imobilzer crap & will give it 2-3 more horses, and will go on top of the price..So at the moment buy it at the cheaper price...Kerry will gaurantee thats all thats wrong....:2thumbsup Im sure Kerry will get it going for the new owner ,if they so require , but will be extra on top...

How much maintenance is involved in this bike compared to a 600 4cyl rice burner that will run for ever...just weighing up costs at the mo, i want a fast but lo maintenance bike

Well other than oil changes, tyres, chain & brake pads nothing differant than a rice burner.. We just had our other 749R race bike pulled down and checked by Dave Cole.He said it was like new inside still ,after a season and a half on the track. It didnt even need the valve clearance done.We change the oil after every second meeting.Send pm to FLAME or Nicko .They are our riders and can fill you in abit more from a riders point of view.. Also get hold of Nick Prestige ,he has just put a 749 on the track..

ahem......ok.....just for the record if anyone is interested and made service/reliability comments..... Standard service intervals dont apply to racebikes. ie...10000km and 20000 km Ducati services....bleh, any track bikes generally need a hell of a lot more than that.
Theres no way I did near 10,000 kms on the track in 18mths. Any race bike needs servicing at much lower kms than its roady friend. However, any bike that can stand up to 18mths of racing(well over 80 or so races)and track days then still go into an expert only to find all her shiney bits inside are all still well within tolerances, and still look like new is a dam awesome machine to me! And the gearbox.....i'd have to say is MINT.
And....although it may look like it:o...she doesn't always get an easy time out there:scooter:.
Fantastic bike....FANTASTIC :)
Dont get me wrong, I know the 600's are light, fine and fast machines, and I'd probably scare myself senseless on one , but I dont beleive they are any faster (for the equivalent dosh) or more reliable than the duc in any way when it comes to racing them from what Ive seen.
sorry....as ya were :)

This is bloody excellent price for a bike of this Spec even with out the ECU & would be looking at it my self if not for the fact of just buying a HSV Senator .Still haven't got my money from the Insurance company yet for my written off Clubsports yet so may still be viable . :Punk:

No need to back pedal mate, I couldn't ride that bike to save myself.
I just dont have it in me not to try and go as fast as I can, and on that bike I had to slow down and learn to ride all over.
The ECU you guys are talking about, must do away with the need for a new dash that isn't coded?
That's gotta be a relief.
Good luck with teh sale.

Had I progressed slowly with the bike, instead of going all out, things might have been different.

Well, that was the most anticlimactic let down of all time.
Sort of like taking the school hotty to your formal on the promise of a blow job later on, only to receive a quick nut squeeze and a peck on the cheek good night.:zzzz:

LOL, I'm happy with the way things have turned out, nomatter what might have gone down bro.
I was never gonna be able to prove myself on that bike, all the learning in the world wouldn't put it in the top spot.
So best not to fuck thier 999 and just cost them more money, whatever the reason I didn't get to ride it.

This bike and its rider did dam awesome at Sound of Thunder last year, it was one of the front runners in formula one with over 50 bikes lined up. And this years event is just about to sneak up on us. I'd have to say its one amazing event to be a part of. In fact, for BEARs lovers, I'd say its THE BEST:Punk:
