Hmm, measure, measure, measure.

Strip the plastic off the bike and grab a roll of duct-tape. Tape on the new fairings and see how they fit.
If there is not a poop in hell relist on trademe and put the originals on (or go naked baby).
If it looks viable start looking for mounting points - the stock bikes frame points etc and the new skins factory points - if they remotely match then its time to start mocking up suitable brackets. If they do not no panic as you'll probably be able to adapt other mounting points (engine mounts etc) or fabricate brackets to suit. For example if the frame has a mounting point that is say 100mm or so away from the frame mounting point a nice piece of plate alloy can easily extend the mount to suit.

With enough time, money, duct tape and beer anything is possible!

Would probably involve welding new fairings brackets onto the frame to hold the CBR fairings if they are actually big enough to go over the VFR.

Would be awesome if you did it :D

Thanks mate.. Yes was the same story with the head light on my bike. i had to remove 30 cm wiring from the loom to make it fit. what a mission nothing as easy as it looks I know that :-)

But im keen to do it just got to sell my bike

Any takers??

As for the original project.

I think the VFR will be significantly narrower than the CBR. Wouldn't it be easier to get the TYGA kit for the VFR? I only ask since I have seen those somewhere... And they are made to fit the 400's...

won't fit anyway.

and viffer fairings look sexier anyway imo just do a repsol or SP2 paint job or something if you really want to bling it.

Good choice of bike though unlike the big bikes that people who need to compensate buy. :niceone:

sacrilege? hahaha come on now lol. just something diff buddy, its this or turbo my hornet but then the hornet would just become way to much problems and $$$$$
