a vacant section behind my place in Waiuku yesterday?? A couple came past on a shiny new red VFR800 with aftermarket pipes.... Mmm V4 honda's allowed to express themselves. Is there any nicer sound?? :)

Why yes! That wasn't us. (Much as I wish it was, as we didn't even take the VFR out to wash it...)

I think there are nicer sounds; much as I like the sound of the VFR with aftermarket pipes, I still think that V-twins sound better, especially the bevels. Triples sound pretty good too. :yeah:
Yeah, yeah; I know - this is sacrilege coming from someone who's owned 3 V-fours, and only one V-twin, but I can't help what I feel. :confused:

Yeah V-twins also sound nice... Heard a 95 VFR750 with an arrow pipe once and that was just too loud and raspy... My 91 FL model sounded nice with the cobra muffler. Not too loud not too quiet - just right. Now come on fess up... who's gonna be my new neighbor?? Probably no one seeing the price the guy has on that section, you'd think it was in Howick!.

well before it gets all sold off.....
why not have a party on it.... and ummm like ummmm invite all those nice motorbike riders, that ummmm belong to that website called ummm "Kiwibikers", just a thought aye...lol.

It's a lovely sound isn't it.
On the opposite end of the scale - one of the worst sounds I've heard is that spine tingling scrapping noise when fairing and bike engine meets road and slides for 10's of metres. Eeeeeeeek
