Switched from ADSL with XNet last night to Ocron ADSL2+

My god - what a difference!!!!

XNet peak to LA - 275 kbps (Beyond crap) - last night in peak times 14,302 kbps per second - its like I have the entire internet on my hard drive - its that fast.


Right - Im off to downloads of porn.

Christ, that's all right. Got rolled over (without even being asked, that pissed me off) from an old grandfathered iHug plan under Vodafone, to their new Red Network stuff. Upgraded the router firmware to do ADSL2+ and the increase was marginal; too far away from the exchange to get massive speeds. Still, now I don't have to piss around with 160kbps uploads, it's now `as fast as your line will allow', which seems bullshit as it's a third of my download speed (3000/1000). I suppose it is ADSL.
