I picked pukekohe. I've only done Taupo and Pukekohe (and pukekohe only once). I don't like the lack of run off over the hill and on the corner onto the back straight, plus the back straight is a bit long.
The fast corner after the front straight (Jennian?) is a buzz though (even on a bandit 400!).

Puke is not boring, unless you're going real slow (even slower than me!)

Pukekohe because it is a dangerous shit hole for bikes. Walls and armco barriers every where

+1, with more run off over the hill It'd still be my least favourite as it's the least interesting

This subject has been done to death a few times anyway, in one shape or another. least favourite, most favourite whatever.

I'm impressed how your least favourite is a trachk you have never experienced yourself. It's sort of like a virgin saying they don't like sex....

Believe me, Puke ain't boring. (though might be on your MB50) I find sometimes I'm doing whole sections and I'm so busy I find I've been holding my breath.

Even on a 125GP it's all about conserving mementum and on fast bikes when you ae really shifting it can get exciting.

As previously suggested, best way is to try as many as you can.

Nah it isn't. If it had better run off I'd rate it as favourite. It looks so simple but its because of the lack of corners that makes it so hard and pleasing when you do get it right. I've only ridden a 125 round there and its just so hard to get that lap right. I could understand it being a bit daunting on a bigger bike though.

Puke is ok if you like eating your lunch down the back straight and maybe share your biscuits around whilst slip streaming... def not my fav

Puke is not boring but fucking dangerous! I dislike the lack of runoff on most of the track and the bumps make for an interesting time around turn 1 if you get it wrong. I hate that this is the best we can do in the largest city in NZ!? Taupo on the other hand sorts out the men from the boys (or women from the girls...yada yada) because its a technical track to get right...Pukekohe on the other hand is all about how big your balls are:shit:

I've yet to ride any other tracks :-)

The lack of runoff makes it to dangerous.
Hampton Downs will be a very good track close to Auckland.
Also as a far as spectating goes, Puke is not very good.

Puke is great to ride but too dangerous. The safety standards I imagine are only good enough for tintops with roll cages. How many motorcyclists and open cockpit drivers have been killed here in the last ten years tangling with the armco. It's disgusting. In the few times I've been there I've seen riders/bikes go straight under the airfences, making them useless.
I've expressed my concerns to the CEO of MNZ, but no acknowledgement let alone a reply or action
This circuit should not be part of our championship.

My opinion is similar to that of Oyster.
While I particularly enjoy riding Pukekohe due to the high speed nature of it and how that suits GP bikes, it has ancient design and is simply unacceptably unsafe. (Not to mention the lack of facilities).
It should no longer be part of our national championship.
But, how many here remember when Wanganui formed a round of the national championship?
Wasn't all that long ago. (But not for many years either).

Merry Xmas

Steve

I would think that the Nationals will move to Hampton Downs when it opens.
Riders deserve better safety standards than those at Puke.
Also I reckon not many will miss the outdated paddock facilities.
Be nice to see a national round at Taupo.

Pukekohe is just too dangerous. I won't race there anymore and it's the only track anywhere near where I live, I'm glad I learnt from other peoples mistakes.

Bring on Hampton Downs.
