PWRCMDR mapping sites?

can anyone post a link to a site,other then power commander.com/dynojet.com, that has a selection of different maps?

i know getting a custom one on the dyno is the way to go,but it's no point me getting my bike dynoed, when i've still got to get a pipe.
untill then,i'd like to find a map that smooths out the throttle.

Hey Dude, I havnt found a map but did find this if it interests you for your bike.

I just downloaded and installed the free program from powercommander called the accelerator pump feature.

This is the best mod that I've done to my bike (929rr). I just installed a full exhaust which made a substantial increase in power across the board, but this accelrator pump mod is amazing. Apparently it squirts a bit of extra gas when you turn the throttle. It only give the extra amount for 20 rounds, but you can adjust how long it gives it as well.

It really makes the bike more fun to ride. It changes the character of the bike. It gives that extra oomph that a muscle car gives when you step on the throttle. You know that put you back in your seat a bit feeling.

The settings that come from the download are the ones that most street riders will start with. I haven't played with the settings yet, but I'm not sure I will.

It's a night and day difference when you install it.

You must have a powercommander usb version though. This mod alone would be reason enough to shell out the bucks for a powercommander.

In more serious, what bike is it, I have a few kawasaki maps from friends, and if people want to send me maps, I can store them on my pc (capacity is, lets say, not an issue), but I don't have a website... email would work tho, the maps are tiny.

i've looked on other forums,and can't seem to find anything relevant.
Your best shot then is other people in NZ.

The fuel here differs to the rest of the world, so chucking in a map from somewhere else, chances are, it won't run right anyway (normally the maps are too rich).

If your particular set up is common, or a tuner has already done one, you could ask just to have that map loaded, save dollars on a custom map, but then again, from what you have said, tuners won't have custom maps for bikes with stock pipes?

is it an underseat one?does the bike need any modification to house it?
what sort of sound does it make?
i'm into a deep sort of sound,as opposed to a higher pitch that some pipes put out.

what pipe did you change it for, and why?
oh...and would it be street legal noise wise.i'm into going as loud as i can,within the legal limit.
if it roughly meets this criteria,i'd be keen,but i'd need you to p.m me a price.

Yeah they are deeper sounding rather than high pitched, had alot of comments about it sounding nice.
I took it off because I got a full Akra system when I started racing. I got wof's with it when I had it on.

Nah I used one from the Power Commander site, just picked a similar pipe from the euro list, most slip ons are very similar, they just allow better breathing up high in the revs.

did you have any heat issues compared to the stock one?
would the stock heat shielding work with this? or would i need to get something else? i wouldn't want to be melting my tail piece :laugh:

No probs at all, it probably runs cooler because its externally smaller than the stock muffler, I actually cut my heat sheild down a bit when I put on my tail tidy, I trimmed the sheild to tidy the arse up, no heat issues at all.

Thanks for this. Wasn't available on my old Power Commander (serial port version) but I have replaced it with a USB version so did the download (comes on the cd) this morning. Major difference. The TT600 and the Speed 4 were known for their bottom end blaahs.......friggin annoying around town. My bike now pulls cleanly from very low speed (I'm slow) and it has minimised the previous surging to a 1000rpm range...easy to avoid. Out on the open road it seems to give that little extra kick needed until the revs take over. I would agree that this extra feature is definitely worth the cost of the PC.
Next step the dyno man.

Just used it as it came. Weather here looks good for tomorrow so it will be ride time.:niceone: I may have a play with the settings when I get back......but then I may go and watch the racing instead.....choices, choices.....

when my wife gets back from holidaying with the laptop,i'll have to give the accelerator pump mod a go.:)
