Remind me how to use the 'ignore' function?

Well I've searched, and I've read the FAQs, but I can't work out how to use the ignore list! Can someone help please?

I have finally reached the end of my tether reading nonsense from a 'certain member' and I think my enjoyment of this site would be enhanced if all his posts just disappeared. Oh - and if everyone stopped quoting him. Please. Thanks. :niceone:

This is my first time using the 'ignore' function too. The silly thing is, I keep going back to the thread that prompted me to use it, just so I can see a whole bunch of posts with A Certain Person's name at the top but no content! I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon.
