Finally found the Jadedblades replacement and the deposit paid. Balance to be paid after shipping quote confirmation and relevalent paperwork filed.
Old riding gear is all up for sale now as well, 2 sets of gloves, pants, jacket (all Shift gear) and a KBC helmet.

New gear to go with the new bike.

Ended up with an 07 Triumph 675 in gold (for now anyways... until the modding bug bites me again), from Canada. It was a Stolen/recovered bike that was obscenely cheap and only needs a new mirror - broken when the perp tried to run from the cops/mounties - and a new ignition barrel - old one had a flatblade screwdriver hammered through it!

Otherwise in mint condition with only 7000miles on the clock.

Seriously consider getting Kerry (TripleFourensics) to unlock the ECU and and re-map your bike using TuneBoy Simon!!!

http://www.triplefourensics.co.nz/tuneboy/

Cheaper, mapped to your bike, nothing permanantly connected, way more features than a PCIII and if you want to make other changes or run diagnostics in the future, you can alway's borrow my TuneBoy cable (software is free to download)!

Sounds like a few of us could be interested in a visit to Surf Highway 45.Can offer a few alternative routes to and from.

Roadtrip!

I'll need to wait about a month or two for the cash reserves to refloat after the bill for freight from Canookistan and the GST/Customs/MAF/VIN/Rego extortion fees before buying the Tuneboy services, so it would be late a Feb - mid March before I would do it though.

How long does it take? Is it something do-able on a Saturday?

I'll ask when Kerry replies to my latest e-mail. As he's a TuneBoy dealer, he may have instant access to the key, once he uploads the ECU serial number, so no delay waiting.
Chances are, he would have already done a 675, so will have a very close base tune already and then he'll just have to match it to your set-up.
He supplied me with a tune via e-mail months before I visited him and it blitzed anything I’d found on the net (probably 8-10 maps). When he finally got my bike to work with, no changes to the map were needed!:2thumbsup

the forum I have signed up too, www.triumph675.net has a ton of maps for the 675 and nearly every exhaust and filter option known, most by the guy that developed the tuneboy system himself! All free to download, so that should help the tuner in Taranaki get a decent base map sorted.

Kerry will know about them then! You do have to be careful about what you pull off the net though. Heaps of people put stuff out there that's absolute rubbish and possibly damaging to an engine. I've had one map that had timing advanced +6 degrees in areas and another (the ultimate map) that I tried, which was absolute crap! Here's a dyno graph of the ultimate crap map!

I just had a reply from Kerry about your bike Simon. Doing it on the first or second Saturday in March would be no problem. He asked me to get you to contact him directly, after the 3rd January if you're interested!:msn-wink:
