Not to my knowledge... as long s if it does not interfere with steering, and and your cables etc. But I could be wrong

Nope. But note, technically, bikes do not have windscreens, we have wind deflectors! There are all sorts of rules about windSCREENS (they have to be made of safety glass for one thing!). But almost none about windDEFLECTORS. I mention this in case some WoF dude gets carried away with the word.

My husband has made many windscreens... for all of these bikes... B-King, Valkyrie, ST1100 x 2 (screen chop and mold) DR650 and DR400, R1 trackbike converted to street fighter, and FZR600 (when original broken from drop from bike lift table, grrr) !! Never any problem with WOF, not something that is checked unless it is loose or sharp as to be a hazard.

We need photos of the ''homemade'' screen so we can all laugh in unison. So long as you keep on the good side of the WoF inspector by laughing along with him,I don't think there will be a problem. However,if you try to justify your inept atempt at screen design....he might get a bit annoyed....

Should be no problem.
I'm going to have to make another screen soon.

I had to put a rubber strip over the edge of one of mine years ago because it was a sharp edge that could be dangerous in an accident, other than that I've never heard of issues and I can understand the logic in that.

I got a WOF with this little offering yesterday ,dont laugh its a work in progress .seeking the elusive buffet free wind deflector .When I get it right I will flatten it out and use it as a pattern to make the 'good' one.
