Hi Guys, looking for some ideas on a really good front brake pad products for racing, I have four pot brembos braided brake lines etc, but need a better pad, I have currently got some premiers but I seem to ripping them apart they arent holding up well, I want the best brake performance for Wanganui (which is all about braking)

So what you using and why ?

Any ideas

Cheers

I’ve been using Ferodo Sintered street pads ‘cos I get them cheap and they don’t import the race pads for my bike. Having said that they’ve never faded on me and last ages. A bit more bite would be nice with the CBRs weak lever feel though. The Ferodo XR race pads are apparently the shiz if you can get them for your bike.

Vesrah’s high end pads are apparently the best there is.

I’m not sure what availability will be like if you’ve got some aftermarket brembo calliper and disc?? But if it is, calling Eurobike (don’t have a number, google it) to get some idea on what will fit it might be a good idea.

SBS Dual carbon pads bro, once they are hot they are awesome, I get brake fade with HH sinters etc.

I use the SBS carbon pads as well. Good stuff! Just read the instructions on how to use them properly.

+1 on SBS Dual Carbon.
Best there is with Cast Iron discs and good with steel also.
One advantage is that they do not wear out the discs as sintered pads can.

Have to agree on the EBC's (Ha...and me and Rocktfsh don't agree on much :bleh:) with the SBS Dual Carbon a close second. As someone else said if you have cast iron discs then the latter may have the edge.
Both should be readily available in Hamilton as the importers for both products are based there.

Wow, you guys must have to brake alot more with all that power.
The streetstock has had the following preperation for the brakes:

1. Stare at black brake fluid.
2. Look and see lots of meat on pads.
3. Quick wipe with emrey on disk to remove worst of ridges.
4. Think about new pads.
5. Dissmiss idea of new pads.
6. Think about new fluid.
7. Dismiss idea of new fluid, hasn't faded yet.

The brakes are only used 4 times per lap at Manfield and one of them just a touch for the reassurance. :niceone:

Try the Yoshi pads man. Bloody expencive but awsome stopping power, no fade, will last half the nationals.

Don't think they make them for KTM motards Ian. But yeah...one of the hardest braking guys in the bussiness use's them and I don't tink he complains about them :)

I'm using Galfer pads on my Brembo's- mainly because I have Galfer wavy rotors. They are seriously powerful, fade free and have heaps of feel. They also last well. Highly recommended.

Try the HRC pads, you havent still got the plates behind the pads? never had weak feel with CBRs.
