100 years ago, homosexuality and prostitution were illegal. People were imprisoned for such activity.

Women had only limited property rights on divorce. Divorce itself was scandalous and difficult to obtain.

Capital punishment was a valid and real sentence.

Today all these have been swept away in an increasingly open society.

What taboos, social attitudes, and rules do you think our grandchildren will think quaint? Or just silly?

I think society will just continue to become more sexual.

Just recently it's now considered socially acceptable in parts of Europe to kiss a member of the opposite sex on the lips as a greeting.

Outfits have gotten smaller, more revealing and more enticing. Perhaps clothes will just be abolished completely.

Marraige and Love will be considered a thing of the past and relationships will consist of flings and only the truely devoted will actually stick wth each other.

Essentially I see the future being one massive sex romp, with most people being sterilized because we'd be over populated by that point anyway.

It used to be acceptable in western society. In the pioneering days marriage at 12 and raising a family by 13 was common. The age of consent in NZ used to be 8. Many cultures around the world today are still similar to how the western culture was a couple of hundred years ago.

What changed was our life expectancy increased... so there wasn't such a rush to begin a family and to concentrate on education instead.

So now sex with 13-year-olds is a social taboo. It could become acceptable again in the next 100 years.
