Are moderators moderating tags too please?

Being an exmod... yes I moderated tags I found that were deemed a waste of space and or abusive... or ones that were reported...
But if they don't know about them they can't do anything about it, and they don't visit every thread, only ones of interest to them and ones that are reported

Yes we do, but we take a fairly relaxed approach to them.
Abusive or harrassing tags are often removed. The site rules have been amended to cover abuse via the tag system.
People who indulge is large-scale spamming with thread tags will eventually get their arses kicked.
Be aware that senior members can edit tags on threads that they have started. You can remove Usarka's "arse biscuit" if you want.:devil2:

Aha! That's good to know. I will take responsibility for managing the tags on my own threads from now on. Tags could actually be really useful if they were used properly - I've already been able to go back and find info I was looking for in someone else's thread I had tagged earlier.
Most of the ones that annoy me aren't abusive, they're just a stupid waste of space. Don't tell me - I should HTFU. Yes I know. :zzzz:

Knock yourself out Usarka.
Just wondering because it seems a waste of mods time having tags if they then need to edit them - just makes one more thing for them to do.

That's exactly what they were intended for, that's why they're linked so closely with the search page and nowhere else. However, like usual, someone always finds a way to abuse the system so the mods keep an eye on them and we have amended the rules to cover tags as well.

Umm, I hate to be the one to break it to you MT, but this is a biker site - of course it gets used creatively.

The Stranger is hot is a good tag...
Wish I had thought of it :innocent:
Tags are fun! I have a few favs I use from time to time, will you be offended if I borrow "The Stranger is hot" tag and use it from time to time?

OK, whilst it is true that I'm hot, I didn't post that tag. Best check with the copyright holder.
I'm going to guess Gordie or perhaps Stirts? they're as bad (good) as each other.

Creative isn't the problem. Abusive isn't the same thing.
