It was meant to start at 10.30am and as I'm currently back in the UK I was planning to watch the first few hours before going to bed.

A few emails later they've told me it should start at 2PM...???

So the live feed for the first races will not be happening it seems.

I'd like to think my $9.95 will be repaid.

Cemetery Circuit

We apologise for the delay in our stream - we have had unforseen technical difficulties. We are aiming to bring you the action as soon as we can. A full refund will be given to subscribers. We apologise for these devlopments.
NZ's legendary street circuit, often called the "Southern Hemisphere's Isle of Man" is, once again, available live via the internet. Wanganui's Cemetery Circuit has the best motorbike street racing in New Zealand, and now it's live on the internet.

I'm at work here in Northern Ireland and had a look at the speedbox site, registered...then discovered the works configuration doesn't do streaming.....so I decided to text Shaun to wish him well. At the exact second I opened my phone to text, I received a call....from Shaun himself, telling me he had just won the supers race!!!!!!!

To say I am pleased is the understatement of the year!!!

The Gremlin is back!

This is the latest I got from them:
"We are still having technical difficulties with the satelite link, we have a master record and will be refunding all subscribers and sending out DVD's of the days racing for free. We are still trying to get a signal out. Sorry for the inconvenience"
Looks like we'll be getting the full version on DVD (hopefully not only a highlights package).

Hey sorry to butt in Choppa, but I see this quote bandied about so often by the media and promoters.

Can I ask all racers seeing this to check out www.cliffhanger.org.nz ?

It is 6.1km of (mostly) sweeping corners on an uphill gradient. The race is run like IOMTT- individual time trials.

Ask CHOPPA, Johnny Burkhart or Jay Lawrence what they think of it !!

I love racing at Wanganui for the thrill of the street and elbow to elbow, but the CliffHanger is another experience again.

Next one is third weekend of March. Put it on your calendar - you won't be disappointed.

No worries Sloan, not your fault. Looks like they're having some major problems. Taupo will not be broadcast either. This from their website:
"Cancelled live stream The Taupo Road Race Spectacular will not be live streamed on Speedbox.tv. We apologise for any inconvenience. Over the past couple of days we have experienced technical difficulties beyond our control with the satellite service used to broadcast live events. We apologise for the inconvenience. We fully anticipate all technical problems preventing us from broadcasting will be resolved in time for round one of the 2009 Jetsprint World Championship which is on 4 January 2009."

I see you were very consistent with your results at Wanganui, good luck at Taupo today!
