Who's going to Sandpit this Sunday?

MXHeMan and me are heading up to the Sandpit this Sunday. Anyone else thinkin of going? Can't wait to sweat out all that X'mas pudding Hemi gave me. Probably sweating out 85 proof too!!

We should be heading out tomorrow. You wan't miss us, will be in a white Subaru and have a CR80, RM80, KX125 and 2 x LT50 quads jammed on the trailer somehow. Also I will stick my dirt division sticker on the trailer. The rest of the family will be sticking around the kids and learners tracks, but I will be keen for a blast around some tracks.

Holy crap that's a load and a half!
I'll be in a blue/silver RVR with a little 5x4 trailer (colour yet to be determined today by my 10yr daughter who has volunteered to paint it) KX250F and an XR200R. Dirt division sticker (kindly gifted by MXHeMan) on the back of the RVR. Yep see yah there. Tempted to pack the BBQ!

I'd be keen to go Monday but not sure if it's open. I know they normally grade the tracks etc monday, but wasn't sure if they open monday, tuesdays for the school hols?

Would agree with that, although it was my sister who done the big spending. You won't miss her tomorrow because she will be the one in all the new gear.

We'll be in the bottom carpark as kids will be on peewee track (3 & 5yrs) so need car near them. I'll be riding as long as i can get a brake lever from cycletreads on the way otherwise my bike will be spending the day on the trailer.

Been busy today getting bike ready for tomorrow and fitting new xmas goodies :P
- fitted MX styled rear fender.
- cleaned air filter.
- fitted expansion chamber armour thing. Still need a couple more hose clamps as the supplied ones were a bit small.
- Pulled carby out and gave it a look over.
- Checked the float level and it is sweet.
- Cleaned up the float rubber thingy. Carby cleaner kicks ass :) Hopefully this solves my poor fuel economy. I suspect the float wasn't seating properly due to a bit of stuff in there. I'll find out tomorrow I guess.
- Checked all jets were sweet.
- Checked slider etc.
- Dropped the needle one notch to lean out the mid range a bit.

Fingers crossed it starts tomorrow. By the time I finished doing it all it was pretty late and I didn't want to disturb the neighbours with a test run.

Punch and I are still planning to hit the sand pit tomorrow. Probably end up getting there more like mid day though.

We will be in the White people mover, MPV thingy. Trailer has a Kawasaki Factory Racing sticker on the rear.

It was going well..BUT..:( alas.. its very unwell now
the threads in the upright keep stretching and the anchor bolt kept coming loose:nono:so its now sitting in the garage and im back to tiedowns.. but have thought about maybe mounting retractable seatblts permanently on the trailer with the end of a tiedown sewn to the end of the seat belt...you just pull the seatbelt out jerk it to lock the belt then tighten the tiedown onto the bike.... OR maybe i will just get some big truck tiedowns and use them :yes::wari::done:

Had a good time today, couple of crashes for Sophie (hope they don't bill us for the poor tree... :eek: ) but her enthusiasm is undiminished....

Had a very satisfying day, I think I managed to ride most of the trails marked out ... despite losing 3rd gear after about the 4th or 5th ride out. Some areas were a bit of a challenge, like in the wood choppers. Now I'm stuffed and gonna jump in the spa.
Great to finally meet some of the people I chat to on here!

Haha....i'm marshmellow Ktmboy.....looks like it in that photo i might add(does this bike make me look fat,hahahaha)had an awesome day,first time iv'e been riding on my own and it was cool to meet fellow KBr's...went for a cool ride with Clmintie and his girls....rode way out of my comfort zone trying to keep up with Grace...she was haulin. and managed to put on a little show for Clmintie aswell.I had a great day Cheers....thanx for the photo Phil

Well I got my bike back today. Apparently the previous owner had done some rather silly things with it like putting the springs in upside down. :argh: Guy said the whole seal had popped out or something like that and he'd never seen it happen before. Wowee. Looking forward to giving it a go now it's all fixed tho :ride:

Well that's good news, who did you find willing to do it this time of the year? Obviously not Krad! (I can't yap, I'm not willing to crack my gearbox to replace the selector fork.)

Took it to spectrum, nice guys, busy at the moment but they squeezed me in anyhow. We've spent enough time fixing bike stuff these hols. Rather do other stuff atm :beer:

I saw it in there on Monday, talked to Greg and he said it was yours. Also noticed that you didn't have any slack at all on your clutch lever... There should be a few mm of slack. Will safe wearing the clutch quicker.

You passed us in the convict trail early in the morning (I think) Me on my KDX and one of my daughters on a CRF100. Funny the things that stick in your mind, I remember thinking how well mounted your rego plate was, as in not vibrating or looking like it would shake it's self to bits and you wern't going easy on it either..... Nice riding mate.......

Ah yeah I remember, I pulled in behind you not far from the start, the quiet klx may not have alerted you guys, I was about to give the horn a honk and squeeze past and then your daughter fell off.

I am used to riding pretty hard/fast (read: hard/fast for me), I have a mate who rides like a demon so I am either racing to catch up, or riding as hard as I can so he does not ride over the top of me.
And momentum is the only way to get around the sand pit with dual sport tires on. :yes:

What a great day!! Lil John and I met there and rode wet or well ...wet! Apart from lilJohn roostering me a couple of times I had an absolute blast on the 100 :laugh: what a work out that was!!

I wish I could join yah but I already went up there today, and tomorrow I will be takin the kids over to Frosty's place for a family ride.

It was great fun. Good to get around and check out some more trails and going at a quiter pass so I could "sight-see" a bit.....
