Any recommendations for a slip on for a SV650? Not too worried about squeezing an extra HP or two out but keen for something a bit more growly and louder (but still under the 100db limit).

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Yoshimura slip-ons are available, or Neptune (kiwi made, too).
The Neptune is a quality bit of kit, and sounds nice

hi mate, i recommend yoshi pipes....they sound mean, aggrasive, like a vtwin should sound like! not just that but ,when you put any after market pipes on you will always get that little bit extra horsepower..but the pipes chew threw petrol more....tho. if you can ignore the petrol cost, and love the sound&power then it wont be so bad. all my bikes run on yoshi,s sv1000,gsxr1000,gsxr600...the thing i love about the yoshi pipes is that i can feel the free flow when i change the gears, and turn the throttle just so sexy! there are pipes out there that are build just for show&sound, but yoshi was build for raceing....well wish all the best bro..yoshi all the way!!!!:headbang::headbang::headbang::first:

Thanks for all the replies - unfortunately blew the budget over Christmas/New Years but will have a look at the suggested pipes in a month or two. Am quite keen to get it installed where I buy it to prevent any issues at WOF time...

Vote from me for the Two Brothers when you've got the coin.

Not over expensive but every single model is fucken well built. Brilliant V-Twin crack too.

Don't worry about your WOF, just don't sell the factory can.

My 1000 has got Scorpion cans on it and they sound awesome. No probs at WOF time, just chuck the supplied baffles in and is quite as a mouse.
Keep the noise down if you see any cops, thats where your worse off than going for a warrant

Hey has anyone heard anything (good or bad) about the Phoenix Custom stubby mufflers listed on Trade Me? I like the fact that they are local and they look pretty good. Be keen to hear if anyone knows anything more about them.

Cheers
