hi there. i thought i had a hot start problem last year, but it went away. rode my bike in 31degree heat today and had the same problem, sitting on 100 down the road and lost all power. no fuel ? still had half a tank, thinking back the days i had problems last year were very hot days too. pulled onto side of road, waited 10 minutes, fires up fine away i go. its almost as if the fuel had atomised out of the lines due to the heat. been riding it on cooler days and no probs at all, anyone got any ideas, temp gauge was normal. i'm at a loss.:argh:

If I remember correctly, one of my old geepers had some sort of carb cooling system. Can't remember if it was the 6 hundy or the 750 though. Dunno if it was country specific either....could be that your one is malfunctioning (or non existant). We ditched the system but then again it never hits 30 degrees in Scotland.....well....at least not 30 degrees this side of freezing.

Finaly Found my fuel filter by pulling my spare bike apart, man was it chocka and looks like i will need to do the inside of my fuel tank over winter, i fiqure the blocked filter was restricting the flow and the fuel was vapourising in the line and stopping the bike. hopefully the new filter will make a difference, will find out later as its getting super warm again today.
