Just testing the market. Bike will not be for sale until AFTER 2009 NZSBK Nationals.
Bike was setup by Dave Cole and is Ex Midge Smart - won 2 rounds of the 2008 Nationals.
Has everything you can put on an R6 and still be 600 Sport Production legal :)
Includes:
Ohlins 25mm cartridge kits
Ohlins TTX shock 08 spec
Ohlins steering damper
07 YEC ECU
07 YEC loom
YEC cam sprockets
YEC clutch springs
YEC head gasket 0.40mm
YEC NGK R0045Q spark plugs
power commander
Akrapovic 4-2-1 exhaust (stainless headers, Ti/carbon muffler)
fairings
spare gas tank
rear sets
spare wheels with disks
all road fairings, tank, exhaust etc (blue bike)
Engine had full rebuild about 8 meetings ago (It had new bearing shells, rods, pistons, rings, gudgeons, valves, v/springs, retainers, keepers, followers, clutch, cam chain, a couple of gears) in preparation for 2008 nationals. It's a bloody quick bike and just needs a fast rider to take it back to the top of the NZ standings.
Bike can also have all the go faster goodies removed and put back on the road. However bike is direct from Yamaha NZ so has never been road registered, so any rego/WoF would be brand new.
Bike cost $$$$ to put together - so would sell as full race package for offers over $15k.
Road trim - somewhere around $11k
Pic with first set of fairings here:

Attached pics show bike with spare set of fairing on.
I'll be at the Nationals this year - so come by and have a look of you're interested

how come you dont just wait until after the nationals,
surely a season of thrashing would lower the price a bit more?

cos i want to be able to get a new bike pretty soon after. it took a while to sell the last bike. if people know it's going to be for sale then it's all good. price for what you get is already pretty good. THe ohlins stuff is worth about $5k in itself and the bike isn't going to struggle doing another 5 meeting. It'll still be maintained with oil/filter changes after every round and anything that needs doing will be fixed.

Spoke to nick briefly at manfeild. It's a possibility.

send me a PM. I'm off down to invercargill on wednesday morning for the nationals. Won't have much time to sort anything before that. But tell me exactly what state you want? like you want to keep the exhaust? but not the power commander?

OK, open to serious offers on the bike.
Bike has run 59s at pukekohe and 1:08's at manfeild so is not slow. Bike has been well maintained and well looked after.
There are a stack of spares to go with the bike, but if I might have to look at returning bike to road trim and selling the trick parts off separately if no decent offers forthcoming.

so whats your bottom line as race bike, i dont need or want road fairings.?

That I don't know just yet. I'm not in the situation where I'm in despreate need of the cash yet. Also I'd then be left with all the road bits which I may or may not be able to sell. The easy sell parts (to the US) that are holding their value are the race kit parts as they're hard to get hold of.
PM me an offer, or PM me a phone number and we can talk about it.

right, the time has come.
Bike will be at Manfeild on Saturday. $12995 gets it as a fully loaded racebike with spares.
If I can't get that for the complete bike, then I'll keep it and put the bike on the road, and sell/use the race bits for my next project.

That's cool Phil.
Now I will have something to race if my bits don't arrive tomorrow
Someone is bound to buy it if they see me being awesome on it.:shifty:

Shit mate. The bike is looking great. Sorry I didn't get a chance to wheelie it accross the finish line as I set a new PB. That's a lot of high spec race technology for a bloody good price. I'd buy it but you know I have to ride Hondas.

why do you have to ride hondas. the best you'll ever finish is 2nd.
