Right I am back, speedway cancelled, so we went out for dinner instead. Mmm went to Thai House Express in Broadway, very nice.
Right as for tomorrow, looking at metservice rain radar, we might get a few showers, but dont think it will be too bad. I am still keen for a ride whatever the weather may be, but will make a final decision in the morning.

I think i'l ride 'till we hit rain then decide if i'm going further, rather not get the gear absolutely drenched as i'll have to ride to Palmy tomorrow.

Put your flash rain jacket on Sarge, you will keep dry, just dodge the raindrops

Yeah. It's supposed to be 'lifting' on this side during the morning.

Flash rain jacket is in for high performance modifications at the moment, otherwise the rain would have been much less of an issue for me.

It's not too bad here, should get better. And it's warm! I better get into the shower I suppose.

Definitely getting a little lighter here in the southerly direction but not alot of change north. Having a good scan of the various sites this morning it sound to half pie ok'ish up the middle of the island, not very flash for upper to middle Hawke's Bay.

That makes sense now, was wondering why you were concerned about the rain

Whew, what a day  Great ride folks, feeling quite knackered out. Excellent run through to Wanga's, Parapara's, Oakune with Oscar, Monamie and Sarge. Met Dog's for lunch then Waiouru, round the back to Taihape in the pouring rain, rest stop, Hunterville, Halcombe and home.
Not to be forgotton was the sight of a fully patched gang member popping a very impressive wheelie on his Harley. His visor popped off on touchdown but his Dad was right behind him (in the cage) to pick it up.
Excellent run. Can't seem to download pics tho!

Had a couple of epics like that myself. After a while you "just get over it" and can start enjoying it.
