Well I've got world tour but just not the drums or microphone, so not much of a band. Anyways, if it's at Andrew's I can bring it.

nonononono.... we are forcing our scooter rider to get a bike through subliminal suggestion and plain demonstrations of how much cooler bikes are! so no need :)

Danae

Subliminal messages work, kids. Well I was pretty much set on getting a motorbike from the beginning, just needed a quick way to commute as buses are just...no. Will soon get a licence. XD

LOL Icic. Hello miss new member!
If I had job in NZ you could have seen my scooter beating speed Red GN250 but unfortunately I'm back in Japan(and bikeless :crybaby:)

Ask SMC crew and they will tell you how amazingly I did stoppie and wheelie and drift GN :p

Funny how subliminal works, I'm thinking of buying $200 50cc scooter to get around Kyoto coz there are just way too many scooters here.
Japan is amzing place! 03 50cc Japanese scooter is $200!!!(Suzuki Choinori :p)

I will come back to bikes sometime tho, planning to get GN125 for commuter and GSR400 with 5yr loan hahahaha

Danae
11th April 2009, 23:16
$200? Ah man I feel cheated. XD But lots of them are made in Japan so there you go. Awesome!

I can't quite work out if it's got any suspension at all. Looks like a rigid rear end and unless the front end is some kind of bizarre trailing-link setup hidden behind that `fairing' then I don't think there's any on the front either.

EDIT: Unless those are the tiniest USD forks evar...?!

It's cute! and cheap! Yep there is no rear suspension. There are basic suspension on front.

It's truely for Japanese city commuting for riding smooth surface road and rider doent travel more than 2km.(according to reseach done by Suzuki, most of 50cc users wont travel more than 2km)

There are many way to custom this so I'm not gonna leave it like that if I'm going to buy it.
http://www.kyoto2001.com/nuk/choi/g.htm

Also there is 90's scooter for less than $200.
But yea if I'm gonna buy scooter I'd rather have something stupid like this than normal scooter coz they are not that interesting.

Oh hells yes. Just go right around the roundabout and head straight back again. I might just scootle down there just for the heck of it, although it won't be as much fun as on a motorcycle. Then I have to study...gaaaaaaahhhhrrrrr :2guns:

I fit my game playing around my uni work, admittedly i did much of that though :dodge:

Danae
16th April 2009, 10:36
I only have it on PS2 so I'll bring that around as well. So the resolution and quality is shit cos they had to downplay it for the PS2. I find the great thing about guitar hero is that even if you suck at it, you want to keep playing.

motorbyclist
16th April 2009, 12:09

A veritable mountain of free pizza!

Followed up with a good movie night, featuring rednecks taking a lot of left-handers, and of course Top Gun.

All it needed was a bit more gratituous violence and a bit less plot. And maybe some zombies.

{PGSA = Post Grad Students Association. As I recall it, it was set up during the Voluntary campaign era as an attempt to reduce AUSAs powerbase and get a slice of the Uni student activities funding - hence their very shiny bar purpose built into the Kate, just a spitting distance from Shads}

I was busy eating Thai and drinking rum.

Awoke the next day and went for a ride with Stephen! Yes, that's right... STEPHEN rode his BIKE! And here I was thinking some others would've been there too, huh huh real wolf and jafa? Was a fun ride up 16 then down 1 but cutting off over to 17.

I have pics to prove it too! Even if they are shitty cellphone pics.

yeah, back wheel went sideways on a bland corner, going slowly. Not really much damage, biggest thing is the casing on my front indicator. Wet, that smooth tarmac, and some oil/diesel on the corner that couldn't be seen cause it was so reflective, coming out of the corner and my wheel just disappears sideways

We could do something completely random to celebrate the end of exams.

I rather like the psychadelic overtones suggested by Hanne's pic and Nish's suggestions. A tea party is such a bizarre counterpoint to 'biker' culture. Is there an alcoholic tea perchance?

We should doooo eeeeeet! (Tea party, not get a perm)

SRSLY.

I'll bring the tree-hugging hippie-shit herbal teas. Thermos and cucumber sandwiches all round. Random location TBC???

I'll celebrate too as I'm suffering by proxy as Mrs Phurrball puts herself through the UoA wringer.

Mebbe I just overdid it at the gym and my hypoglycemic brain is like that bloody ubiquitous and amusing washing machine...

Chelsea and the bandstand sound good...

Tea crawl?

I'm no 'camellia leaf' drinker either (preferring that which floats when ground generally) - but there are plenty of tasty herbal potions.

I have a thermos - we should hit up the op-shops for retro china tea cups so we can have some pinky out pictures. Scones FTW too I think. Much nicer in winter (and yet still tea appropriate)

Ooooorrrrrr... Do any random places serve high tea? The thermos option is probably more student appropriate though... High tea chillar? Hip flasks too?

Ixion
16th June 2009, 12:58
Top hats obligatory for the gentlemen. I can maybe "borrow" a couple of Mrs Ixion's pretty teacups. Very very dangerous, though. I fear that thermos water would not be hot enough to make tea. It must be boiling. And please do not ANYONE mention those vile abominations, those evil and accursed travesties of all that is good and holy, called tea-bags.

Danae

Strata proved fail and lack of lights and decent music forced us to migrate to Shadows: darker and with even more terrible music.

We then proceeded to Mission Bay for fish and chips (Andrew pillioning w/ Stephen as he was full of beer).

And the DR goes off road!

However the fail photo doesn't clearly show the presence of dirt under the tyres. Sorry Stephen, moar proof is needed.
