Hello people,
Kiwi Rider mag will be running a trackday on Thursday 31st March at Ruapuna Park, Christchurch. The track will be operational from 9.00am to 5.00pm and we will be running sessions for experts, intermediates and beginners. The cost is a very reasonable $60 for subscribers or $85 for non-subscribers. Basic tuition will be available to those who want it and will most likely be on a group basis (one on one may be available depending on numbers). Pit garages are also available.
If anyone is interested in coming along you can e-mail me at chris@kiwirider.co.nz or go to www.bikemart.co.nz where you can download an entry form or PM me through this site. If you have any questions, ask away.
Thanks for your time guys, hope to see some of you there :niceone:

Thanks for the welcome.
Puke is a possibility but the doubt surrounding the circuits future doesn't help. I would look into it if there was sufficient interest. Trouble is Puke is expensive. What does everyone think? Let me know. Any takers for Taupo or Manfeild?

Yes. Yes. Ruapuna with more notice. Teretonga combined with a rally or summit like that.
The Warehouse carpark, Lyall Bay every nght of the week allready so I don't need much practice there.

wouldn't mind Taupo too actually, haven't done that track yet.
I heard that Puke was going to open again (anyone seen the state of the track lately? Looks more like a builders yard than a race circuit!) for a season or two, to get some of their mula back from resurfacing and drainage etc, and to see how the track performs..
Mean time, there was rumor of a huge track being built near Meremere, which is expected to exceed F1 standards. Now that'd be a track..
Anyhoo, Puke is my closest track (and for most Aklders), so I was just asking, cos Chch is a bit of a trek.. With numbers up, wouldn't be too much, would it..?

Any takers for Taupo or Manfeild?
Did the one with Ross at Taupo and had a ball. I'd be keen to do it again. I wouldn't mind Manfeild either as I haven't done it yet.

OK, there seems to be plenty of support for Taupo and Manfeild so watch this space. We are very unsure about booking Puke for anything at the moment. I wanted a midweek day in March this year and gave up trying to speak to anyone after about 6 tries!!
We are very keen at Kiwi Rider to get a series of trackdays up and running that are inexpensive and fun. At Ruapuna we hope to have a couple of bike shops with stuff on display and we are trying very hard to get a Superbike racer or two to show their faces.
If anyone wants an entry form for Ruapuna and sends it back with a completed subscriber form we will do the day for the subscribers rate of $60. A whole days fun for $60 ain't bad :2thumbsup

Cool, the more interest that is shown in a series of KR track days the better.

12 issues delivered to your door for $86. That is valid for 12 months and is not affected by any price increases.
How does that sound?

OK, this is starting to fill up so I would recommend that those who want to come along get the entry forms in quick. We are hoping to have one or two 'special' guests along for your enjoyment. Some tuition will be available to those who want it and depending on numbers may be in groups.

More news on this trackday. Lots of riders signing up and it is looking as though it is going to be pretty busy.
All riders will also receive a free lunch! At sign on you will be given a voucher that you can exchange for some food at the lunchbreak. Can it get any better?

And yes - I am still walking around high fiving myself.
For those wondering, I had to ring and tell WT that KR is sending me to the Austrialian Alps for the regional release of the Street Rod. 2 days in the high country and accross the great divide - next tuesday.
