Do a rego check on it, then send them a picture along with all the other houses in the street asking if they know the driver and where they work, then send some pics there.

Na it was all safe,he stayed on his side of the yellows all the way past the truck....
I posted this on the top page thinking it might be relevant to some of the accident on the road in the last few days but it was immediatly moved to the R & R bin,I guess it had no motorcycle content.
If there had of been bikes coming the other way it would have had a lot of motorcycle content..

I hate it when smug wankers who are supposed to be in control of a moving motor vehicle are fannying around with their cell phones.

To be honest, it's a contextual thing...

A LOT of bikers overtake on double yellows... Specially with the way they have sprouted up all over the place.

Maybe he knows the road and like most bikers, has enough performance in his vehicle to get past quickly...

I came across the same thing today a white vn commodore wagon going past Mt Bruce towards welly went over the double yellows going around a wide sweeping corner up hill and run out of juice he had to force a car to side of road to get let in . I couldnt find a smile icon for being a fuckwit so this will have to do :bash:
And they thort motorcyclists were the dangerous ones:scooter:

Or the driver is very good at driving backwards

When there are double yellow lines, there is usually a good reason for it, one that is not always immediately visible at midday on a clear summer day, me think.

um... why are there double yellows ? Its hard to tell from the photo.

And whats all this bullshit about calling the cops on him? Grow up, you wouldn't have the balls to say that about someone on two wheels on here would you. Its seems to be one set of rules for bikers and another for cagers on here sometimes.

A bike can generally pass a vehicle without crossing the yellow lines, as in accordance with "the law". This driver, on the other hand...

Must be why he passed him I usually try to get in front of dangerous drivers even if it means bending the law here or there.....

Looks like a right hand corner up just ahead of that truck - looks pretty darned blind to me. What a cock.

BTW there does seem to be a huge amount of double yellows popping up all around. I also noticed cars very readily moving right over to the left of their lane in front of me and holding that line for a good while to let me pass. Much more so than previous - maybe they notice and like to see someone being able to pass on those long and tedious roads.

I was able to do it without crossing over the yelllows. What I did find a bit (maybe uncomfortable) is the number of cars who pull right over into the breakdown lane willing you to pass but it's in a really dodgey spot and then you notice they aren't really concentrating on driving their car so you kinda don't want to be beside them.

I wonder if they feel scorned sometimes by my not screaming past at warp speed as soon as the opportunity is presented. Ya know, there they are offering me a good dead, being a considerate road user blah blah...but wait! I'm not taking them up on their good dead?! WTF?! I'll speed up at the next overtaking lane! That'll piss them off....

I watched one guy in front of me just about ram into a car as it sat on the shoulder while exiting a driveway. The driver seemed soo keen to see me pass inside the double yellows that he was completely neglecting his duty to pay fucking attention to what he was doing!

BTW - my bike is no longer loud and I am not a hoon...so, I don't sit wedged up peoples dates along the open road bearing down on them until they crack and let me pass.
